What do you see ? Watch carefully during the pub scene and you can see orbs of light some say spirits ( ghosts) flitting across the screen both in the snug and up by the fire !
The Haunch of Venison pub is over 700 years old and said to be one of the most haunted pubs in Britain. The owners and guests have reported seeing a man with his arms folded standing at the end of their beds and it's presumed this is the cheating travelling card player whose mummified hand was kept in the old bread oven after being chopped off by a butcher when they found he was conning them all and lots of sightings of a grey lady who sits in the bar.
I didn't see the orbs until I edited my video but they are unmistakable especially the one by the fire upstairs.
To read more on the history and read the letter about the card player this is one of the best articles I found

A lovely morning windy walk up old Sarum where the first Salisbury cathedral once stood at one point a thriving village stood here and William the Conqueror founded the castle, ruins can still be seen of both.
On to a more relaxing but still windy location the 29 locks at Caen hill, thankful that the people on the barges allowed us to film them going through the locks, what an amazing feet of engineering to build all those locks and all still powered by people.

Loved this little visit. Thank you. We have locks in my city (the capital of Canada - Ottawa, Ontario Canada). Bytown was the original name which changed January 1, 1850 to Ottawa. The first vessel to go through the locks was the steamboat, Union in September 1831. A little Canadian history for you.

@@RecraftedByCarol I wish they still existed, that would be great to watch. Currently and mostly, there are pleasure boats that go through the locks.

Hi Carol, I thoroughly enjoyed watching your travels video! I live in Augusta, GA and the Savannah ruver runs through it on it's way to the ocean. We used to have an operating lock and dam but it is no longer operational. I had the great fortune to watch a big boat go in the lock and then the water level lowered until the boat reach new level. It was pretty cool but it is very small. They still have a park and recreation space there. If you want to see haunted you will not have far to go. I think jusr about every town around us and fdown on toward the ocean has haunted places and touts. I've never been to one though. Have fun with your travels and share with us if you can. TFS 😊

Hi Kimberley I’m so glad you enjoyed the video we had such a lovely time I wanted to share it with you all. I think it’s fascinating how we still use the same lock system all these years later obviously great engineers back then. Funny thing was we didn’t know it was haunted just thought it was an old pub. Wasn’t til I edited the video I got spooked when I saw the orbs 😬 Hopefully more of these trips to show you this year 😁

I've walked Caen locks several times, I don't envy the canal boat people doing the 29 locks, it's not easy! All these sights known to me. Did you go to Cerne Abbas, near Salisbury, see the Giant on the hillside (like the White Horse). Lovely guide, very interesting 😊

How cool that you’ve walked up there too isn’t it so amazing how they still operate the locks! oh it was so windy and cold I imagine it’s way busier when it’s warm and sunny, lots more narrow boats going up and down. We didn’t see the giant this time but have gone past it before, love a bit of history. Thanks for sharing your experience Lucy 😁💗
