I can attest to how important this vitamin is. Two months ago in the middle of the night my 68 yr old husband fell in the bathroom and was taken by ambulance to the hospital under “stroke alert”. After a CT and two MRI’s the neurologist could not find any sign of a stroke in his brain. After three days it was determined that my husband had a B1 deficiency not a stroke. He is still in rehab three times a week to help strengthen his body and repair the damage that was done to his brain. He is now almost entirely back to normal. Been a long terrifying road and we are thankful to the Lord who has brought my husband through this.

My hub collapsed last year from what I suspected was B12 deficiency. When he finally conceded to go to the doctor (not easy as he could hardly stand), after checking him over & doing blood tests (including B12 which I had to request), he could find no obvious reason for the collapse. He dismissed the B12 which was sitting at around 350 (range 190-900), not high in the scheme of things but high enough for the doc to ignore it. Faced with either having to go to the hospital for more tests or me armed with a bottle of sublingual liquid B12 drops with both active forms, scared witless by the thought of going into hospital with CV still rampant, he opted for the latter. I started giving him 3 x the normal dose split into 6 during the day (I feel a smaller amount absorbs better under the tongue than a larger one), within 2 days he was rallying & it was very evident B12 deficiency had been the issue. The doctor’s response was just, “well if it’s working, carry on”. Thanks for nothing, mate. 🙄. I’m just grateful that unlike him, I am fully cognisant of the symptoms. The thing is, not only do very few doctors know or understand the symptoms of B12 or B1 deficiencies (which can often be very similar), but they also are very fixated on serum test results which can often be very misleading. Not only do serum blood tests not show what is going on at cellular level, but neither do they determine how much B12 in the blood is active or inactive. If most in the blood is inactive, it may look fine in the test result but it cannot get into the cells. Many people seem to have issues converting inactive to active these days. Perhaps due to antibiotics or other drugs/substances destroying the B vitamin-metabolising microbes in our guts or some other factor (B2 deficiency perhaps - which may be the cause of poor methylation. B vitamins are synergistic & should all be taken as they work with & support each other. I have found that my body demands more B12 for instance, when I take higher dose B1, Thiamine). If you have problems absorbing B12 then your serum results will almost certainly be low, & that is obvious, but if you can absorb it but have issues converting it or metabolising it, that is not so obvious & the serum test result is not showing the real story. So many with occult B12 deficiency get missed every year. It’s very sad. Thiamine deficiency is rarely ever looked for, let alone diagnosed. Again, the testing for that - if anyone thinks to do it at all - can also be fallible. I’m so pleased for you that it was tested for & treated.

I was Keto for four years to good effect. I fast on occasion and after the last fast (21 day water fast) I broke my fast with fat; small amounts of grass fed pork belly, bacon, an egg. I used no plants as I usually did breaking my fast and now I’m 100% Carnivore these last three months. What an exhilarating difference. My fat loss to muscle gain is such that I’m getting bigger muscularly but my pant sizes are dropping. I’m working on getting rid of caffeine next. I’m 63 years old without medications and I move like I’m 14. Everything Dr Osborne says here is true though how your diet is divided up between macros is something the individual has to figure out for themselves in my opinion.

I’m 72 with fibromyalgia (probably most of my life, but diagnosed in 1988) and just about every problem I get- it’s from fibromyalgia. Even fast heart rate for years! My dr finally had me have tests and put me on b/p med but also Atenolol. I am watching my rate with taking Benfotiamine and regular B1 , but do hope B1 will help me naturally get off these two meds. Then I’d be off any medication- and I’m sure the drs wouldn’t believe it could be all credited to B1 (and God for helping me to find out about this). Thank you for this information!!!

Dear Dr, very happy to see you are so driven on this subject to educate on the importance of B1. I have had a hard life lesson about it. After covid started i had shortage of breath meaning i was not longer breathing via normal belly movement any more, which i did automatically before. I had chest pain non stop and was not able to relax anymore. Also i could not find energy to exercise, even not yoga. At night i started go develop hyperventilation which i did not have before. Then i had an episode of total bowel blockage which can certainly be caused by defficiency as i never had it before. They saw i had old content there not moving. I had to take fibers which led to some allergic skin reaction on my belly. The dr prescribed me an ssri. Around that time, i also started to develop ACNES ssyndrome in the intestine. Luckily thanks to the ssri it dissapeared. When taking the ssri min. dosis i acted euphoric which could have been a good indication it was not what i needed. For 3 months i had improvements but i had to increase the intake after and this again some time later, over the course of 3 years i was back to the same. Being histamine intolerant, cow milk intolerant and eating no gluten, i started my own diagnosis. Which vitamins i probably don t have enough intake like eggs, organ meat and sea food. After 3 weeks of B1 and very high dosed complex B I felt great and immediately started phasing out the ssri. I did it in one month! This vitamin is truly amazing. Of course i experienced a lot of anxiety not being able to breathe normally and i have wasted 3 years (no energy at all) but feel reborn 🙏☺️. A hard but necessary life lesson it had been. This video is great but it remains difficult to find out what you have, since it cannot be seen in the blood, each individual has different symptoms and most GPs think about despression or anxiety. I have alwas been upbeat and carefree individual but those 3 yrs i did not recognize myself at all. I hope this testimony can help❤ someone out there too 🍀

Omgoodness!!! Thank you SO very very very much for making this video because I have been suffering from these exact symptoms/issues & I was even diagnosed with RSD Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy which would make sense in this case too if it hadn’t begun because of a botched ankle surgery. Anyway I am extremely deficient in many vitamins! My potassium levels get SO low it’s a wonder I haven’t actually had a heart attack & died yet! The last time I was at the ER my level was either a 3 or 4 for potassium & even while taking a prescription supplement my vitamin D levels won’t raise above 15 so there’s obviously a problem with my body’s ability to absorb the nutrients from the foods I consume. I have been experimenting child-labor like excruciating abdominal pain & bloating & extreme constipation & diarrhea for at least 15yrs now but at this point EVERY single time my bowels move now, I am in screaming bloody murder agony in my upper left quadrant and it’s basically acting as though there’s a blockage in that area until the pressure becomes so great that it forces its way through there which feels like I’m being cut open inside of my stomach! It’s been pure misery and it’s effects my relationships with everyone around me & it used to scare my daughter to the point she would cry and beg me to let her call EMS! I don’t let her however because I know that once I can get it out I will be OK. I am going to try taking more of this vitamin and see how it works for me because any improvement would greatly increase my quality of life. I have literally become agoraphobic at this point and can’t eat out or even go to the grocery store unless I have been fasting all day long. It’s nearly caused me to lose my marriage and the depression I experience is far more severe than ever before! It’s a waking nightmare and the RSD only makes my life all the more unbearable! I will be sure to leave an update if I notice any changes. I am scheduled for an upper Gi & colonoscopy towards the end of this month so I will definitely 💯 let everyone know what happens!

What can I add to my coffee to reduce the vitamin B1 depletion? Will raw milk cream or butter help? Should I take my vitamin B1 in the morning however I am doing IF and don't eat until later but I do have my coffee in the morning.

@@janellarosado9881 no it doesn't, many believe it's a calcium manager (I believe Dr. O has mentioned he doesn't believe in this - or at least stated recently there is no reason to take K2 if you are tested and your level is sufficient, others do and many supplements contain both for that reason though). “Types of Parkinson’s Symptoms Symptoms of Parkinson’s vary by the type of parkinsonism and between individuals. An individual with Parkinson’s will not necessarily experience all or even most symptoms. Parkinson’s is a progressive disease, which means that symptoms worsen gradually over time, new symptoms appear, and disability accumulates. Motor Symptoms Everyone with Parkinson’s experiences symptoms related to movement, known as motor symptoms. In early stages of Parkinson’s, motor symptoms are typically unilateral - limited to one side of the body. Motor symptoms are the hallmarks of parkinsonism, and the condition cannot be diagnosed without them. The most common motor symptoms of Parkinson’s include: Bradykinesia (Slowed movement) Tremor Rigidity Loss of balance Other motor symptoms of parkinsonism include: Stooped posture Shuffling gait Dystonia (repetitive twisting, swaying, or head-bobbing motions) Painful muscle contractions Muscle jerks or twitches Freezing episodes Mask-like facial expression Decreased blinking Softer, slurred, or mumbled speech Speaking in a monotone voice Drooling Dysphagia (difficulty swallowing) Micrographia (small handwriting) Slowed or abnormal eye movements Eyelid spasms Difficulty opening the eyes Nonmotor Symptoms Many people with Parkinson’s experience other types of symptoms in addition to motor symptoms. Cognitive Symptoms According to studies, about 40 percent of those with Parkinson’s eventually experience cognitive difficulties. Cognitive changes, often referred to collectively as “cog fog” or “brain fog,” can include problems with memory, attention, processing information, finding the right words, slurred speech, learning and remembering new things, organization, and getting lost in familiar places. Psychotic Symptoms Between 20 percent and 40 percent of people who take medications for parkinsonism experience a loss of connection with reality known as psychosis. Psychosis can either be caused directly by the disease or as a side effect of treatment. Psychotic symptoms can include: Visual hallucinations Delusions Paranoia Irrational fears Flashbacks Nightmares Sensory Symptoms Decreased sense of smell is very common and often among the earliest symptoms of Parkinson’s. Approximately 96 percent of people newly diagnosed with Parkinson’s show a loss of sense of smell. Some people with Parkinson’s experience vision changes, including blurred vision, double vision, loss of sensitivity in the perception of color and contrast, and visual hallucinations. The sense of taste may also be affected by parkinsonism. Mood and Personality Changes Parkinson’s and medications for the condition often cause changes in mood and can affect personality traits. Psychological symptoms of Parkinson’s can include: Depression Anxiety Anger Irritability Jealousy Increased or decreased interest in sex Impulsiveness Compulsive behavior Other Symptoms Fatigue is common in Parkinson’s. Fatigue may not be caused directly by Parkinson’s, but stem from other symptoms, including motor difficulties, sleep problems, and depression, or be among the side effects of medication for parkinsonism. Problems with sleep are widespread in people with Parkinson’s. Sleep disturbances are the most common sleep symptom, but insomnia, restless legs syndrome, nightmares, and difficulty turning over in bed are also experienced. Orthostatic hypotension is the scientific term for feeling dizzy when you stand up. It is a common symptom of Parkinson’s - experienced by 20 to 30 percent of those with the condition - and can lead to faints and dangerous falls. Orthostatic hypotension is a result of low blood pressure either due to nerves damaged by the disease or as a side effect of Parkinson’s medication. Orthostatic hypotension usually happens within three minutes of standing. This symptom is more likely the older you get and the longer you have Parkinson’s. Gastrointestinal (GI) symptoms, especially constipation, are among the most common Parkinson’s symptoms. Bladder dysfunction is common in Parkinson’s. As many as 50 percent of those with advanced Parkinson’s report overactive bladder. Pain in Parkinson’s disease comes in many varieties. Although Parkinson’s is not widely considered a painful disease, it can cause muscle pain from cramps and repetitive movements, neuropathy (nerve pain, or pins-and-needles numbness sensation), shooting pain such as sciatica, or a sharp, burning pain. Pain usually occurs on the side of the body most affected by Parkinson’s symptoms. It is common for people with Parkinson’s to experience sexual dysfunction. Parkinson’s causes lowered libido and difficulty orgasming in both sexes. Motor symptoms can also make physical aspects of sex problematic. In men, Parkinson’s leads to erectile dysfunction and ejaculation problems. In women, decreased arousal, vaginal dryness, and pain with intercourse occur. In about 1 percent of people with Parkinson’s, medications cause hypersexuality - compulsive sexual behavior. People with Parkinson’s are four times more likely to develop melanoma, a dangerous type of skin cancer. Those who have had melanoma are four times more likely to develop Parkinson’s.” Hi!
