Even Ryobi decided to go with removable recharge batteries for their 4V lineup, plus $30 vs $85. Granted no torque adjuster.

I picked my DWHT66719 Electric Screwdriver today and really like it more than my old Dewalt electric screwdriver, where you had to remove the batter to charge it, this one uses a UBS cord, This new appears to be much more powerful, too.

I was hoping for a smaller form factor. I bought two and was disappointed in the size and I think the activation collar is a gimmick and don’t like it at all. I would much prefer a bottom like the 8V gyro screwdriver. Much bitter than it appeared in the initial advertising.

How will this work on furniture assembly?
@OhioPowerToolАй бұрын
With only 10-20 in/lbs recommended for furniture assembly (depending on the screws), this tool would be perfect and allow you to set the torque dial to make sure you don't overtighten anything.

Was hoping it had swappable batteries, hate built-in...

Thats really bad especially from dewalt. Very 1980s ethos. Dispoable tools are not my bag. I buy them to use and use not use and dispose. Indecently the eu has passed a law regarding gadgets with built in bateties not being user replacable. So this type of designed obsolescence should come to an end. Shame on dewalt

*All of my cordless tools- and I have MANY- are DeWalt... EXCEPT for my Metabo cordless screwdriver, which is WAY superior to this. What a disappointment. If DeWalt had the brains to implement a [thumb] rocker switch & swappable battery, I'd finally be replacing my Metabo...*

Price point suggests high-end engineering, but the non-removable battery might restrict long-term utility and reparability.

Non-removable battery seems to be the biggest complaint by far. Will be interesting to see where they go from here with that feedback!
