Vessel, because it fits in my screwdriver slot on my tool pouch. I can use it all day without charging. It has enough power to run 6/32, 8/32 screws and small nuts and bolts. It feels the most like a regular screwdriver. Highly recommend if youre in electrical, HVAC, or Maintenance.

@@Tools-Tested I think the focus on these should be on usability, not on how much power/torque they can drive a screw with. These are labor savers over standard screwdrivers, so all they need to do is to be able to drive a screw with reasonable torque into pre-threaded material and save the repetition needed with a standard screwdriver, and also have a locking clutch so you can manually tighten at the end. How well they fit in the hand, how they handle relative to a normal screwdriver, their battery life, and how durable they are--like can they survive being dropped from ceiling height?--should be how they're judged.
@ric88689 күн бұрын
I have the vessel. I got it because I needed some JIS bits, their bits are amazing and after buying a lot of them, made sense to buy the screwdriver. Mine has no speed control, and enough torque to mess things up. I use it mostly to undo the screws of electronic devices, some have dozens, saves a lot of time. I like that it feels like a normal screwdriver and is small. I ended up developing a technique to stop the motor before it torques it and finish by hand. The battery lasts forever and feels very well made.

Bit of a niche case but, the Vessel Ball style handle is also excellent for folk with mobility issues. My mum is an avid DIYer, I bought her one a year or so back when she was complaining to me about not being able to use a regular screwdriver, or be able to handle the impact I was lending her due to worsening arthritis. She tried a Bosch, essentially a rebrand of the Dremel, and just couldn’t get her head around the pressure activation then I bought her the Vessel which she’s loved. Usage case is mostly driving in drywall fixing and small wood screws for putting nik naks up on walls.

Yeah it really depends on the application and form factor. It’s good to hear the Vessel solved the issue.

Your killing it with that dyno. I love the max torque reading. The watts output is like horsepower, work done over time, but the max torque tells how tight you can turn a screw, and what will drive the longest wood screws. On TTC the Dewalt did much lower then the Amazon Basics, the Basics is fast, but the Dewalt is more torquey. Can you test any 8volt models. Also want to see the new M18 saw, with the 12.0 Forge Battery.

I've been using the Bosch Go at work for the last couple of years. It's basically exactly the same as the Dremel. Today, I got the Amazon basic for use at home..... and I absolutely hate it. Stats don't tell the whole story. It has plenty of guts, but is just horrible to use compared to the Bosch/Dremel.
@grumpyz0mbie13 күн бұрын
Having used both, I would say, without a doubt, that the Bosch is worth the extra. If you've never had an electric screwdriver before and can't justify the extra price, then you'll be happy with the Amazon... but it's just a pig to use by comparison. I'm using it to tighten M6 hex head stuff. The main issue is that there's a 4 to 5 second delay after each fastener is tightened down. The lights flash to indicate... something?.... and you cannot use the tool again until they stop. This is horrible, annoying design. The second thing that makes the Bosch a far more ergonomic tool to use, is the push activation. Seems weird at first... but once you get used to it, you wouldn't want to lose that feature

Nice overview. I've owned the worx screw driver for a little while. I was more curious about how the insides worked than real world functional performance. I liked the form factor. Mechanics i side are not very sophistcated. I found performance to still be a little overpowered and I missed an anti kickback function. I think what I've learned with all electric screw drivers in this video and my worx is that they are a great addition as a go go to electric and manual screwdriver in one. It helps reduce strain imjuries with intensive and repetitive taks. What I miss with most of these screw drivers today is that the functionality and features are too limited. I think the perfect electric screw driver in this class is a combi pistol to barrel grip conversion model with a 4-8 V power output. The power can be dialed in for little torc for microelectronics to full power for more demanding fastner screwing amd umscrewing and allowing easy screwing of fastners into hardwood. For home and shop use. The battery is a 4-8 V removable battwry, similarbto what Ryobi amd Milwaukee has. It would be nice if it has a gyro system like the DeWalt has. Everything in a small forfactor that is not too.big and bulky in the hand but has a firm grip. And the electric screw can be used offline in manual mode by screwing in in screws with a ratchet system and no play in the mechanics (a solid feeling ratcheting and no loosness when turning). Charging over usb c on the screwdriver for emergencies and all else remove the lithium battery for external charging as I can uae the battwry for other tools and tasks as I ezpect I won't need to use the screwdriver all the time. I think if one of the tool comapnies can make an all in one perfect versatile single usefull screwdriver and a more versatile use of the battery for other tool or charging applications. I think that would be the perfect electric screwdriver tool. For my worx I would have liked to see a removable battery platform, more torc settings for screwing and hardwood and microelectronics settings and a kickback system to prevent strain injury. With the worx have an adjustable barrel to pistoolgrip system for better ergonomics on certain jobs with fastners. And for microelectronics also have a pencil grip for easier overhand application on microelectronics screws. And lastly have a brushless motor for more finer motor control on microelectronics and more torque umph and finer motor control in more delicate fastner applications.
@Tools-TestedАй бұрын
Im hoping to test the barrel grip style with removable batteries soon, im really curios about the gyro in the dewalt.

Started with the Amazon model and moved up to the Dremel. I like them both. You could ask for more torque, but in reality, in a true screwdriver configuration, it’s easy to tweak your wrist with these bigger better models. Also, none of them have batteries that are easily replaced, making all of them disposable. So are any of them going to be in your toolbox after a couple of years?

The fact that the Dremel/Bosch is microusb is a deal breaker for me. I would buy the Fanttik. Also I think speed should have been tested as the ability to drive a small screw quickly is a common requirement for these, more so than torque probably. For speed, the Dewalt and Dremel are rated at 360 rpm. The Fanttik is only rated at 220 rpm. The worx is in between those numbers.

Yes that was a big fail on this video not comparing speeds or even mentioning it. Of course a screwdriver that's geared lower is going to have more torque and use less current per torque. And the other hand a high torque low RPM driver is not going to have enough speed to run a self-tapping screw in

I just got the older, discontinued, DeWALT DCF682 on clearance at Lowe’s. Interested in seeing the successor.
@Tools-TestedАй бұрын
Interesting I didn't know they discontinued the Dewalt DCF682.
@emmettturner9452Ай бұрын
Well, I’m guessing based on limited availability, being long-gone at Lowe’s (couldn’t even find with Brick Seek) and the discontinuation of the only other tool that uses 8V Max (DCL023 flashlight). They also released a USB charging 4v cordless electric screwdriver but that certainly isn’t a substitute for the DCF68x range.

Check your local Sam’s Club for the Worx on clearance. Found it here for $19.97, includes the case and all the accessories mentioned here.

dremel screwdriver is exactly like my bosch go 2.and its made in malaysia,even in malaysia i can't find single piece of dremel screwdriver..maybe dremel oem from bosch ?
@Tools-Tested2 күн бұрын
Yeah Bosch owns Dremel, the go 2 is the same screwdriver.

@Tools-Tested oh no wonder.maybe its for export only.local shops seems didnt sell lot of dremel.just some dremel rotary tools
@Tools-Tested2 күн бұрын
@ Yeah Bosch is weird like that, using the Dremel name in the US mainly. We don’t have the go 3, I’m guessing it’s going to be released here in a Dremel form.
@VideoMarketingFiverr2 күн бұрын
@@Tools-Tested go 3 released for a year already.I think can get online worldwide
@Tools-Tested2 күн бұрын
@@VideoMarketingFiverr Sadly it has to be imported here through Aliexpress or ebay. No retailer officially sells the go 3 here, Bosch seems to hate the US.

I am always surprised more people don't value that lowest setting being truly low in terms of torque. Having a clutch on a very low torque setting is incredibly valuable for sensitive and small parts. The HOTO, Dremel and Worx are all awesome, but they all fail to reduce their torque or clutch low enough for sensitive stuff which is a big failure in my eyes. I have drills. I have impacts. I do not need a lot of torque, I need a lot of control with some speed. This is where the Amazon Basics excels over all the rest. It has a balanced distribution between its 3 modes. I would weight this factor near the very top and assign much lower weights to many of these other variables.
@Tools-TestedАй бұрын
Yep it’s a lot to consider depending on application.

I have the Bosch (Which is just the Dremel). Love it! The only thing I wish is that they added a locking head on it, the bit pulls out sometimes.

Yeah that is one drawback that looks to be fixed on the go 3.

I have the Fantikk that I got at Costco for $40. Honestly, I hate it, and plan to return it. Don’t get me wrong, for a basic electric screwdriver, it is ok, and the packaging and case is absolutely beautiful, but the ergonomics suck. There is no grip, so any torque on a screw wants to twist the driver out of your hand. The forward and reverse buttons are placed poorly, and I always have to rotate and find the buttons to use it. I also have an old Skil electric screwdriver that has the twist ring at the top to forward or reverse, and although it doesn’t have the same torque, it is much easier to use and provides better grip to drive screws as needed.

Although none of these using USB C is providing faster charging than micro USB. Just a marketing strategy. 😂

@@dearbulls usb-c is the standard, if everything used it, there wouldn't even be any need to ship cables with every item, saving on costs, and resources. Humanity needs to lift its game.
@dearbullsАй бұрын
@@Skobeloff... You are assuming everything with a USB C port would be able to share the same charger and cable. However, not everything using USB C supports PD standard. USB C is only an interface, it's not a charging standard. Some of my USB C devices can only take 1.5-2.5A slow charging and not work with a fast charger. If you plug them into a PD port they would not reliably charge. It's why I'm not a big fan for slow charging devices go for USB C then still has to use their own slow charging standard. In an ideal world, if all USB C devices can charge at fast PD port, only at reduced power, that would be ideal. But it's only the case in real life

Why does SBD think they can get $90 for that DeWalt when theyre also selling an 8V model for less?
@Tools-Tested12 сағат бұрын
Idk, it looks like they are phasing the 8V out....which is crazy. But the pistol 8V is out of stock at all the major retailers.
