This is a fine bike, but the Shimano EP8 motor is so unreliable. maybe i got a dud. constant ‘w101’ errors. still waiting for Tredz to fix it.

Interesting. This is my second ebike and I find the Shimano EP8 absolutely smashes the previous Bosch motor I had. Sounds like your motor has some factory defect(s).

I'm the owner of a bike: Merida ebig Nine 400. Unfortunately, I ca't buy a rack. The one seen in the video is not sold separately. Do you have any advice? Can you make a separate video about it? 😉

@@MERIDABIKES-INT I thought the battery was built in according to the presenter? Two things if I could get an answer....? He said the load capacity was 140kg. I'm 2 metres tall and weigh approximately 120kg. I already have a Merida hybrid bike but I'm interested in possibly getting an e-bike very soon. I've certainly used the hybrid with considerably more than 140kg total loads plus regularly pulling a heavily loaded trailer. Sometimes all together. Do Merida do this or similar e-bike's in a large or extra large frame that would work for me? Equivalent 58/60 frame?

@@tconnolly9820 Hi there, apologies for the delayed response. The maximum system weight is the weight of the bike, plus rider and cargo - for the eBIG.TOUR this is a maximum of 140kg. Exceeding this weight means we would not be able to warranty the bike in case of any issues. It is, but it is cumbersome to detach and reattach - don't remove it unless you have an issue with it or need to replace it!

I've had one for about 3 months now - have received non-stop compliments on its looks, and even more compliments if someone wants to take it for a spin.
