As a longtime rucker I have a pair of GoRuck ballistic trainers and 3 pair of MACV-1 Boots. I have to commend GoRuck on all their products. Everything lasts a long time. My first pair of MACV-1's last over 3000 miles of Rucking. I have documented them on Strava. In fact I still wear them when working around the house. Oh, and they are very comfortable. 5 stars!

As soon as I saw who was reviewing the shoe I knew I could trust this review! I have seen quite a few reviews from “average Joe’s” on KZbin but it’s great to see an athlete with your background putting these items through their paces!! Thx Mr. Bailey!

These are excellent shoes. I purchased them based on this review. The 8 mm heel-to-toe drop feels much better than the 4 mm drop in my Metcon 4s, which feel flat. I also prefer them to my Do-Win weightlifting shoes with a higher 19 mm (.75") drop and hard plastic bottoms. These feel much more natural and comfortable to lift in and wear around the gym than my other shoes. They also fit true to size. Thank you for reviewing them.

Really appreciate you reviewing this shoe. Your content coverage is also appropriated. Q: How would you scale the fit on this shoe in terms of width. Medium heel counter, medium instep, wide toe box? All around “standard D” width?

Did you notice that 8mm drop having any effect on running? or is it only really noticeable with squats, pistols, oly lifts?

How do you compare them with Reebok Nano x1 for Low Arch/Flat and wide feed? I do see from the review that the sole is stiff (which is good for low arch) but is it stiffer than Reebok? Also how do you compare the fit of two? same size?

I have been looking for a functional shoe to invest in and I think this might be the one for me. Great review!

Love these shoes myself. I've ran in them ,lifted in them and they are legit in my opinion. I won't be buying anything else. Plus the added bonus for me is they are prior service Army like myself. Gotta support them. Cool vid. They do a military discount through the website as well.

Really appreciate the thoughtfulness of this review. What would be some of the things you would look for in images/descriptions for shoes when buying online- especially if it's a brand you many not have bought before, i.e., the mm drop from heel to toe?

Nice review. Are they stain resistant/water repellent? They look so good that I'm tempted to multipurpose them outside the gym too.

Thanks for the overview and the details. I don't think I'm skilled enough at CrossFit for any shoes to make a difference for me :-).

Got a pair based on this review. I am happy to report these shoes are great. I usually wear Nike Metcons, but I like these better. Probably going to buy a second pair.

@@ricardodiaz6187 For me yes. I usually wear a 10.5, that's exactly what I ordered. Since my original post I've moved onto zero drop shoes. Specifically the "Xero Shoes" brand, I like their "360" shoe for workouts. It's a very different style shoe, but you build your feet muscles a lot more. Teaches you to not heal strike when you're running (if you do). If you ever try these style, just get the workout/running ones, there's no need for wearing them all day.

@@kristfur ok cool man thanks for the reply.. I use some old Nanos now for in gym; dedicated Brooks running shoes. I just ordered these Gorucks. I don’t really lift anymore. Pretty much 98% calisthenics now. Very little weights if any.
