So this prob won’t reach Bailey, but I’m your everyday Rxish athlete dad with a full time job. I crashed and burned my first go on 22.3. Watched this and re-tested today and finished at 10:58. Thanks for video dude. Well worth the watch.

This is freaking beautiful. Definitely something that I really wanna get one day. I've been told I have the strength just not the technique. Thanks for these tips Dan, you're a flipping beast, and loving your content. Looking forward to trying these out

The crossfit muscle up is almost like the gymnastics straight legs kipping muscle up. Just did my 1st band muscle ups in the gym, strict form straight legs with minimal kipping, YEAH !!

I've got a Rogue wall mounted rig on order to install in my basement. Can't wait to try the barbell modifications to build strength. I'm a bit away from getting a muscle up....heck I still have to do banded pull ups...but I like what I see.

Of course, I forgot to add that a shoulder injury has sidelined my progression. Can only lift empty bar for anything shoulder to overhead at the time being. When that's healed, then I plan to sign up for a year of AlwaysTrain.com :-).

Super helpful man! I can string about 5 MU together, but this is going to make a huge difference in getting more. Never done a ring MU before though. Could you do a follow up video to this on ring muscle ups! Thanks!

Thanks for the tips! I'm a one and done kinda guy and can't seem to string them together. Now for your pullup bar, bolt a 2x4 to the top and run it straight back to that post and lag screw it together. your welcome.😁

I just wanted to say that your video is great help! The hand position over the bar really made a difference for me in all bar hanging workouts. It's crazy how little things can affect your whole workout.

Hey Dan do you go to any CrossFit box at all now or do you do most of your training at your barn gym? Just wondering cause I’d love to drop by sometime and pick up any pointers you may have if you attend a local box. I don’t live too far from Columbus Ohio. Thanks bro have a blessed day.

Hey Dan this video helped me out a ton in yesterday’s workout with Bar Muscle Ups. But anytime the workout has a higher volume of Bar Muscle Ups my palms rip. Do you have any tips to prevent this from happening or what I’m doing wrong?

Thank you for this video! Question: I noticed when you do bar muscle-ups that you have an open-hand grip with your thumbs on top of the bar. When you gave the helpful examples of how to learn BMUs, however, you had a closed grip where your thumbs gripped below the bar. Is one grip better than the other in order to achieve bar muscle-ups? This grip question has been a constant question throughout my CrossFit journey.
@jarrett79772 жыл бұрын
My coach at my local box said the grip is better with the thumbs on top of the bar, not wrapped

@cole.s14423 жыл бұрын
what rig are you using for your muscle-ups? I can't find one on Rogue that is both tall enough for kipping and has the ability to weigh down with plates like you did
@fadymcr3 жыл бұрын
This is a 108” SML-3 and the weight pegs are added extra (can be found under rig accessories)…not the best for kipping and muscleups but if it works for Dan it should work for most people!
