Just to clarify. All app based features like room correction, LLE (Low level enhancement), Manual EQ and much more can be done directly on the sub, it does not need to be used wirelessly or with our products, so these features are available on any system.

The concept reminds of the subwoofers for the Grimm LS speakers. A closed, relatively flat cabinet, which in this case radiates upwards and uses the floor as a boundary surface.
@Justwantahover4 ай бұрын
7:50 If you placed the speakers on the floor, you would hear way more bass. But they sound better on the stands and that's where the sub comes in handy. But even better, you have options for sub placement (to get even better bass) ! 🎉

Have you tried to use it with a Pre/Power Amp combination to set a crossover point so the speakers stob producing low frequencies. That should be the best way because the drivers of the spekers should proft from not having to produce low frequencies and therefore creating less distortion.

Hoffman's Iron Law unfortunately places a very heavily limit on the performance of this sub. It's small and somewhat efficient but its SPL will be limited. Also, sealed is excellent. I love sealed. One of the best subs in the world, the Perlisten D215s is sealed. However, due to its sealed and small design, the Sub10 also has a hard limit before allowing distortion to balloon quickly. I bet it would sound incredible to have multiples of these to get the SPL up and distortion down but considering its competition, the Sub10 doesn't seem at all worth the cost. The Hsu TN1 is the same cost but it trades size for performance. Far more capable with incredibly low distortion. I love the size. If you had capable enough DSP, multiples of this sub would be incredible in a listening room.
@madsbuchardt78454 ай бұрын
@@MyFatherLoves it's true that you can get other subs in this price range that can play louder, but their would also be significantly larger, the whole point of this is to have it compact and for people that need it. But dispite it's size, you would be surprised how clean and loud it can go.

@@madsbuchardt7845 no doubt, my man! I apologize if my comment come across as disparaging. I sincerely didn’t mean for it to. It just doesn’t fit my needs is all. I’ve got about a 350sqft room and it’s my one system for both cinema and hifi. So, I need that spl but for those in smaller rooms that also don’t need cinema spl, this is a fantastic product. Heck, I’m sure if you bought around 6-8 of them you’d have one of the cleanest reference cinema LFE in the game.

Can you use it with an AVR and stereo amp like you can do with a REL subwoofer?
@dennis37794 ай бұрын
Most amps go into processing and filtering mode for sub pre out so you can not use pure function with a sub without hi level connections or maybe using the stereo pre out but then you can not easily connect a separate power amp anymore.

I have the A10s but I run them with the platin hub listening to music. I run them through using a AV amp when watching movies I was thinking of getting the Sub 10 but my Rel t9 has 2 drivers this has 1 would it be ok for movies too???
@madsbuchardt78454 ай бұрын
It for sure would be OK for movies as well. The REL have one active woofer and one passive radiator (like our S400 and P300 speakers). This means it would be able to play louder, but the SUB10 would sound better as sealed cabinets does, but it would also dig significantly deeper in bass as we are not limited by how the passive radiator is tuned. And the Sub10 is of course a smaller sub and take very well to close wall placements where we can get the woofer so close to the wall, you almost get a simulation of having in wall subs (which benefits sounds quality)

best you can do is to get both and test for yourself, return the one you do not prefer :) The room correction feature of the Sub10 is a very powerful tool! All rooms would give you peaks and dips in the bass response, this is something the Sub10 can help smooth out. For sound quality, sealed cabinet is the king here for sure, but having sealed cabinet would also sacrifice headroom, so the sub10 would not be able to play as loud and powerful as something like the Rel t9 which uses passive radiators, but the Sub10 reach considerably lower and would have better note to note distinction and tighter bass.

@madsbuchardt78454 ай бұрын
These subs are amazing for small rooms, both due to their size, but especially due to the build in room correction they have. Smaller rooms provide nasty peaks and dips in the bass response, and the room correction can deal with these very well.

@madsbuchardt78454 ай бұрын
If your amp have preouts, you can connect it there for left and right if you get two subs. But for most HiFi speakers you would not need a left and right with lower crossover than 100hz. These wavelengths are so long that you would not hear a difference in left and right. That is also what you can't hear where these low frequencies come from. If you have a gigantic room, you can of course benefit from left and right (maybe). This is why subouts are mono. Another solution is to place the sub in between your preamp and poweramp. This would also allow the subs room correction feature to work on your main speakers and match volume perfectly between them automatic.
