I use the Zebra Sarasa USA. They are bold but smear when using a highlighter. Sarasa SE are the same as the Sarasa Dry.

You've got me wondering whether a 0.7 Mark On would be comparable (just as vivid) to the Sarasa Dry 0.5. I've tried using all types of ink pens with highlighters though I haven't tried with either the Dry or Mark On. I find the best pens to use are oil-based (I use Paper Mate Inkjoy) and hybrid ink (I use Uni Jetstream). I lean more towards the Jetstream as it produces a darker line and use the pen/highlighter combo only when I'm taking extensive notes while studying. No drying wait time is necessary when using either inks; you can highlight immediately after writing with absolutely no ink smearing.

@ 4:50 - While there's no smearing of lines in the Sarasa Dry, there does seem to be a lot of color bleeding with a blue gradient. However, I never really use highlighting on my own writing, so can stick with the regular stuff ^^

Which pens do you recommend for highlighting on notebook paper?

I like the mark on one but it skips a lot even I write tried 2 different ones. Looking for a pen that doesn’t skip when I write and is good for when highlighting 😒
