Ultrawides and Sim Racing are a concept that have been increasingly popular in the last few years. Thanks to Samsung Australia, I have had the chance to test and use the new Samsung G9 OLED monitor for Sim Racing.

Ultrawides like this are probably the best compromise between wanting something bigger than a single monitor & not having enough space for triples

Agreed massively, I don’t preach triples because everyone’s situation is different. I personally much prefer a big ultrawide for racing, as the seamless display is so pleasing :) Thanks for commenting mate!

love 32:9 screens for racing , much more convinient than tripples for me . but not on the desk there i gone back from 34" 21:9 to normal 32"

Finally wanted to hear an opinion on this. I think you should have compared it to others like the lg 45 because I think that’s the comparison that’s more competitive

I haven't personally spent any time more than in passing, with the LG 45 OLED, so I'd be making it up. My experience with the 57 inch Samsung G9 though would suggest a similar outcome, which is that the vertical space you'd gain with a bigger ultrawide monitor makes quite a significant difference. I think it comes down to preference at the end of the day and your all round use case :)

How can you have backlightbleed if there’s no backlight… (as oled are all self-lid leds, so it must be the content viewing)

When would you make the comparison between the 49' and the 57'? I'm currently looking to buy one next week because in 2 weeks I start a new job and need my own monitor so would be 80% work, 20% simracing

having tried both, it’s really hard to use the 57’ after using the oled. The colours are so beautiful on the 49’ and the blacks are so pure. My only issue is it’s not 4k, but imo that’s a good thing so you can double them up and still run games perfectly

@@CreaLune Ciekawe czy aż tak się różni , oled od led . Większość strasznie sobie chwali tego neo ! Ja też mam oled g9 :) Ale czy jestem aż tak bardzo zachwycony tym oled to bym nie powiedział hehe Oczywiście jestem zadowolony żebyś mnie nie zrozumiał źle :)
