While the High Guard probably know about him, it isn't something you randomly or casually talk about and they have no reason to believe Megatron and the Autobots don't know.

Honestly this issue was a lot to handle but it's good to see the combaticon together again now I name can this issue starscream brigade like the g1 episode and may this won't be a decepticons civil war it will be the combiner wars combaticon vs the construction devastator vs bruticus.

I stand by what I believe in, Starscream’s Brigade is gonna take the W against Soundwave’s Bros. We’ve seen how powerful Devastator is, but we haven’t seen Bruticus just yet. If Bruticus does defeated Devastator, Soundwave is getting folded easily. And with two combiners, Starscream might even fold the Autobots and win the war…that is until Megatron’s eventual return.

You should check out the Skybound GIJOE comics(Duke, Cobra, Scarlet, Destro). Your "distaste" for the franchise only comes from lack of knowledge. If you took the time to learn and understand, you'd be pleasantly surprised with how compelling their characters and stories are. If you really don't want to spend money on physical or digital issues, the channels Moonbase Three and Go Beyond Comics here on KZbin have excellent videos covering them and would be a great introduction to you. Plus, these comics already connect heavily with Transformers in many means so you'll need to catch up fast.

My opinion might be biased cause starscream is my favorites transformer, but this little arc was absolutely great! Seeing the past of starscream, where how much he changed cause of megatron, setting up great things for the future. It was perfect man. And for sure theres gonna be some kind of redemption arc, starscream spared the cat!!! There is still hope for him to be less unhinged 😂 Also this issue gave me hope for the gi joe crossover movie, if the movie is anything close to that ill be happy but only the future will tell
