Hi everyone! Let me know what you think about S4U Frame in the comments below! :)

I've tried most of these window plugins and eventually I figured out it doesn't really take that longer doing it myself unless it's a really complicated geometry. What I am looking for is something for sliding doors and windows where it knows(!) to add a frame with channels for each panel as well as offsetting each panel while keeping an overlap like a real sliding door. You should be able to select the number of doors and channels individualy so you can have 4 doors on the channels for example. The cherry on top is if you can come back and change the window size and/or number of panels and everything will change accordingly without stretching the frames. Though I have a feeling if someone does that it's going to cost a lot and make it not worth it again. If it's a one time cost I might consider it though, I never buy subscription based plugins anyway. It's just an annoying way to make you pay for the same thing over and over again..

Suppose it depends on what kind of geometry you're working with. I've saved SIGNIFICANT amounts of time with Lattice Maker and this is like that but with a much more real world realistic result. In my opinion, software is an investment - if it saves me time (and my time is worth money), it's a pretty easy cost/benefit analysis to see if it's worth it or not. For a cost this low? Not even a question

Hi Justin. This is great for SketchUp but have you seen how Vectorworks can handle this super well using the built in parametric tools and library’s and create proper schedules with BIM information attached?

Never used Vectorworks before - they've got some cool adverts that I've seen, and it does definitely look more parametric than SketchUp (which has plusses and minuses). At some point I'll probably give it a try

1001 Bit Panel divide is still my go to for windows -- you don't even have to specify the dividers. BUT -- if you need to do uneven dividers this would be helpful. Thanks for the tutorial as always =)

Not sure why, that one's not working on my PC - good tool though

@@Thesketchupessentials rare case of something that works on Mac and not PC I guess

Is PayPal the only way you can pay for S4U?

Can you change it’s units to metric?
@ThesketchupessentialsАй бұрын
Yep - if you change your units in your models to metric, they should change in the extension as well

This is a scam. The website says it's free but when you download and install. There you are, everything is a subscription.

Not a scam at all. I said in this very video that it's a paid extension. The problem is when devs list extensions in the warehouse that are sold on a third party website, the extension warehouse offers them no option to list the price for the third party website, so their only option is to list as "free" with a link. It's a 3D Warehouse flaw, not a scam
