in albania we don't usually have bus stations, we have furgons. but that is also because we have the richest politicians and public officials in europe so yea

I've never heard of a Furgon before, but this explains why the bus station is not as well developed as the rest of the city. I am confident Albania will continue to thrive and become a major place for people to visit if the right investments are made in the right places, it's a beautiful country with incredible people and deserves success and recognition ❤️🇦🇱

The new bus station (East Terminal) has been opened for a while and is modern and clean. The only issue is it's 30 minutes out of the the centre of Tirana.

I read a comment recently regarding this, I'm hoping they build a better station for the city itself. Many people visit Tirana by bus and this is the first impression of the city for many, we were shocked when we got into the city centre only to find it was one of the most beautiful places we'd visited in quite some time, the bus station doesn't represent the city well and it deserves better as the contrast between this bus station and the beautiful architecture of the city itself is very surprising.

I don't count that as a bus station. That's more of a car station where they offload long distance travelers. You won't get a nicer one in Zurich either... it's just a large parking lot with car buses.

We went to Basel recently and was looking at heading to Zürich, next time we are in Switzerland we will check it out and see this station for ourselves! 🙂

The bus "station" I arrived from Vlore was much worse. In fact just an open field with busses.

This is definitely not the worst we have ever seen, that spot would be taken by this small station in the middle of nowhere in Poland which was basically a concrete hut haha, in terms of capital cities it's one of the worse in Europe but of course there could be worse. I made this video as I was surprised how much was being invested into the city but not it's transportation. I've heard of Vlore, is it nice? (Apart from it's station of course haha 😁)

@@TeamMcGrath The seafront of Vlore is certainly nice, but the rest of the city is mostly composed of the usual old, depilated apartment blocks.

Ljubljana (Slovenia) isnt much better and thats the main Bus and Train station in one. No seats outside, although you do get a mcdonalds and you can go inside. But luckily we're building a new hub currently and that one will be much better hopefully.

Ljubljana is actually on our bucket list alongside Lake Bled, I will have to check out the station and see what it's like ❤️🇸🇮

There is actually 3 bus stations in Tirana. I have been in every of them and i haven't even think about complaining about them. When travelling with public transportation in Albania you sometimes need relaxed and adventurous mindset because they don't always go on time or there is often cases there is no bus going at all. Luckily if these places are not shiny enough for you, there is plenty of other countries and cities to visit in this planet!

Mate, we traveled on a bus in Oman and got pulled over by the traffic police for our safety (for some reason). We are not adverse to an adventure, and I was just pointing out that for such a modern city with a rich history, architecture and culture which it has clearly invested in, it has failed to invest in it's primary bus station and let me add that we arrived from Montenegro, so it was our first ever look at Tirana and set a negative tone for what was a very pleasant experience, I'm saying the city and it's people deserve better than that. Saying it's not "shiny" enough is a cop out, you should want better for the country too, turning a blind eye to areas for improvement will not help improve anything, pointing this stuff out is what drives change after all. Thanks for commenting regardless, and thank you for letting us know about the other stations too, we shall give them a look when we next visit! 🙂

I hate em' man, when I set up this channel I promised to keep it raw and authentic with no music or production, just real experiences that I can share with people passionate about travel. If I like something I will say, and if I don't I won't praise it to appease everyone which a lot of people in the comments are expecting me to do despite being overly positive about the city in most areas. We are glad to see people out there who are tired of these type of travel vlogs and hope to contribute to being one of the travel channels to move away from that style of video. Thanks for watching 🙂❤️

Tirana is perhaps the worst city I’ve visited in Europe. Negative vibes. Luckly Shkodër saved Albania for me and I haven’t writte the country off completely

Maybe as a major city yes, I'd agree with you. But if we speak generally then there are far worse cities in Europe where tourists have almost nothing to do

I'm surprised you didn't like Tirana, for us it had a great mixture of traditional and modern which was very unique. Funnily enough I met someone from Shkodër the other day (back in the UK) and they highly recommended it too, I may have to give it a visit 🙂
