I was very surprised just how much of a mixture of old and new there was in Albania, it's a very unique country with a unique history and it's buildings have a variety of styles as a result. It's also very modern which was cool to see, Tirana easily has the best shopping mall I've seen in Europe so far too 🙂

Milk bars were created during the communist era in the 1960s and 1970s. It was a basic canteen for the working class. Currently, they are very popular among students, elderly people, retirees and tourists. These bars are characterized by traditional Polish cuisine, fresh food, low prices, very good location in the city center and cheap furnishings.

Thank you very much for the useful information! 🙂 I really enjoy visiting milk bars when I visit Poland as it makes me feel more connected with the locals rather than dining at the tourist hotspots, but I often worry that as tourists we are eating in a place meant more for locals, I hope us visiting milk bars is acceptable as a tourist and not seen as taking advantage of services designed for locals who wish to eat more affordable meals 🙂

I didn't know what to expect but it turned out a few of my friends in the UK were from Bydgoszcz and had positive things to say, so I knew it was going to be good, but I didn't think it would be as big and historic as it actually was, I really enjoyed my time there and am still recommending my friends to visit to experience Polish hospitality and and culture! 🙂❤️🇵🇱

We're basing our feelings on this being one of the most beautiful capital cities we've seen out of all of them, this of course can change as we visit more places but as it stands this is the best city we have seen, it needs work and I have made a video explaining that too but it ticks many boxes for us. Also keep in mind that beauty is subjective, what we find beautiful may differ to your interpretation which is fine, not everyone is going to agree with us but an opinion is an opinion and if you disagree that's cool too. not that many tourists visit Bydgoszcz, since we have Toruń nearby which is tourist hot spot during our wars with Teutonic Order of Knights, Bydgoszcz was on the Crown (Polish kingdom) side while Toruń was on opposite Bydgoszcz in it's early years experienced great plague that almost decimated it, but was then rebuild and greatly expanded in XIV century receiving city status that's why there is a statue of and university with name of Casimir the Great Btw. Bydgoszcz translates into "to be our guest", and the emblem is a gate that got one door open to "welcome you" and one closed to "keep enemies out" there is Museum of Soap & Dirt at Długa street near Stary Rynek ^^ the place where most events are held is Wyspa Młyńska right next to Stary Rynek and if one likes nature, Myślęcinek is the biggest park in Poland (even got a zoo) you're doing great with your pronounciation 👍 Czter-dzie-ści trzy 43, I split it for you to make it easier :)

We visited Toruń and really enjoyed it, we have a friend from Bydgoszcz and another from Toruń and they both joke over who has the better city with each other haha! It's hard for me to decide, but I must admit I really liked the mall in Bydgoszcz called Focus, it had this restaurant called Top Lunch and it was a self serve buffet style setup where you add items onto your plate, then they weighed it at the end and give you a price, there was also Express Oriental which was the same type of restaurant and I really enjoyed visiting both during my stay in Bydgoszcz, that will be my go to place when i visit in future 🙂❤️🇵🇱

It's not sauce. It was lettuce covered with cream. The simplest 'Mizeria' salad is often served as a set. It comes from the word miserable. Usually it's chopped fresh cucumbers, salt, pepper and some cream, sometimes chopped dill is added. You won't recognize Polish cities in 10 years. These empty concrete squares are to be transformed into green oases. The government is preparing a program for introducing greenery in city squares. You can fry eggs on such a square on a sunny day. Toruń is located next to Bydgoszcz. This is one of the most beautiful Polish cities. Toruń is a medieval city, not destroyed during the war. This is where Nicolaus Copernicus was born and this place is famous for gingerbread. Gingerbread has been made there for hundreds of years. There is a gingerbread museum where you can learn how to bake them.

Thank you very much for clarifying what that salad dressing was, it was very nice indeed! I love the idea of adding more green spaces, it will make the city even nicer to visit so I'm very excited to see that when it is developed in the future, it will give me even more reason to come back, not that I need many as I really enjoyed my time in Bydgoszcz! 🙂 Ahh yes, we visited Toruń and that will be shown in the next few videos, we tried the local gingerbread beer which was amazing. I also want to thank you, I recognise you from the very start of our journey here on KZbin and you have always been so supportive and informative on our Polish content, it's truly appreciated and we really appreciate you joining us so early on in the journey and sticking with us as we learned to improve our content! 🙂

Nice to see you again in Poland. Wow, your Polish is zajebisty (shit-hot) !!!!!!!! 👍👍👍😉 An important war fact. The 'Intelligenzaktion' operation began in Bydgoszcz. It was a German act of genocide directed against the Polish elite, mainly the intelligentsia in the Polish lands incorporated into the Third Reich, during which the execution of approximately 50,000 people was planned and methodically carried out. teachers, priests, representatives of the landed gentry, free professions, social and political activists and retired military personnel. Another 50 thousand were deported to concentration camps, where only a small percentage survived. The action carried out in the fall of 1939, in total, about 23,000 Poles were murdered in the Piaśnica Forest, Mniszek near Świecie and Szpęgawski Forest near Starogard. A series of executions were also carried out in the so-called Fordon's 'Valley of Death' in Bydgoszcz.

Interisting, yet weird narrative of the city's history. A German and Polish name version existed parrallel starting from the 14th century - therefore Bromberg was not invention by the nazis. Up until 1920, when the city became part of Poland the majoriy of it's inhabitants was German speaking. This the alleged "traditional Polish architecture" he showed is actually: traditional architecture in today's Poland but built to the taste and traditions of it's former German inhabitants.

@@TeamMcGrath no problem: it was probably the information you read there being in the city. Poland gained many territories in the north and west from Germany after the war - and these territories had a German speaking majorities over 6 or 7 centuries, especially in urban areas like Bromberg, Thorn, Danzig, Stettin this was the case. Unfortunately nearly the whole population of these areas was forcefully expelled after 1945 or denied to return to their homes and hometown after the war by the new Polish administration. This applied to roughly 8 million people. It is quite typical that these details are not mentioned in Polish historical narratives and the impression is given that these people and centuries of urban development never existed.

Dopiero rozbiory Polski przyniosły osadnictwo niemieckie z polecenia zaborcy czyli Prus.

@@henningbartels6245 but your capital Berlin is a Slavic name like Garwolin, Lublin, Natolin in Poland and it's not an accident. Those area are slavic area conquered by Germans and you were probably from that area when I read your hate speech. Of course crucial buildings in Bydgoszcz are build by Poles not by Germans. Moreover there is nothing like Germans and Poles in genetics. There are Germanic people, Slavic people and Celts. Do not visit Oman anytime between June to October unless u go to Salalah or the mountains areas. 2. Public Transport is not reliable at all so get otaxi app is a must for getting around, however, rent out a car is much better as driving in Oman is very simple in addition to the fact that fuel price is very affordable, less than half a dollar for one liter. 3. If u are a group of ppl, u need at least one sim card. Free wifi is no a thing in this country 😂. 4. Oman is a nassive country with various landscapes, mountains, beaches and sands which makes it perfect for hiking and outdoors activities, if u are after night life and parties, Oman is not going to be your paradise 😂. I fell in love with Tirana, it's truly an incredible city and I've been very lucky to meet many Albanian people living in the UK since I have returned and have shared many smiles and good times with them 🇬🇧❤️🇦🇱

I gave up smoking 13 years ago and decided I wanted to get fit, I live next to a small hill and started walking up it every day, it was a 40min walk, then I bought some kettlebells to use at home and started using them 3 times a week for 20mins at first, roll on 13 years and now I do 50 mile weekend hikes and love wild camping, I'm 54 and have never felt healthier in my life, just keep doing a little every day and slowly build up and eventually it all starts getting a lot easier. Learning how to read an ordnance survey map will make your life a lot easier, you can look at them for free on Bing Maps or their are apps you can use too, just zoom into the map until you see lots of green dotted lines everywhere, these are the public footpaths we can all use, then in Snowdonia a lot of areas on the map are shaded light yellow, these are known as open access areas where you can explore wherever you wish and even walk off the footpaths if you want, but keep it up, can't think of a better place to walk to get fit than Snowdonia where I'm lucky enough to live.

LOL Tave kosi(Baked Yoghurt) is the best, you must not have had a good one. I think what he was having is called Fergese, which is made with vegetables, but also different kinds of meat, cottage cheese and spices.

Man I’m so sorry that you guys had to deal with Muttrah Souk sellers. An Omani cap or kuma that’s made by machine instead of the ones made by hand should only cost you 1 to 5 rials and for me 5 rials is toooooooo much. I’m an expat that’s lived here for 14 years and would love to help you guys out, even if it’s just with more information, if you ever make it this way again and I hope you do. I’m glad you enjoyed Oman. Ahlan wa Sahlan. ❤

Tirana is full of restaurants, full....i am suprised you found diffiiculty to find. The water 250 lek seems very strange. The half litter is 50 lek. How posible youbought 5 times expeensive. Then in restaurants, especially in soffisticated ones you find that price. The restaurant you show here is through the simplest. These tyoe of restaurants are good but therre are others much more better It is a pity you did not try tave cosi because of 2 portions. Even two portions are not expensive. This dush have a long history, and smt is called Tavê Elbasani, a city in ce tral part of Albania. If people go in turkey they can find this dish with name tave elbasani, thar refers to this Albanian city origine

Yeah, my wife brought it from a newspaper stand not to far from Skanderbeg Square so I would imagine it was a tourist price, I think when we return we will seek the assistance of a local to prevent falling for these tricks in future haha! Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment 🙂❤️
