The PS3 was not bad at all, it was a phenomenal system. It was very complex, and developers found it easier to develop on Xbox 360 and simply port to PS3, which made those games play very poorly since the architecture was so different.

@UncleDjGames your point that the PS3 is a bad system because developers didn't wanna put in the work? Yet developers who did the work made games that were unbelievable, like MGS4, Resistance and Infamous. So no, it isn't a bad system by any means.

@@blackmesacake5361 no, when i said "worst Playstation" i said "respectively" because i compared it to other playstation generations, as for development, if it was easy and not complex, we would have had backward compatibility right now + develoeprs wouldn't port from 360 to ps3

Worst console generation since the last one. Console gaming died after the PS3 and Xbox 360. Nintendo excluded of course because they gave up on consoles after the Wii U and now do their own thing and don't fall neatly into console generations.

A bit of nostalgia may play into this for me, but I agree. Xbox 360 was when I was first able to delve into online gaming starting with Halo 3, and it was such a surreal experience being able to talk to people all around the world. Of course playing with classmates after school was a big part of what defined the generation, with mostly going through the earlier CoD, Halo & Gears of War Series. Unfortunately most of my schoolmates went their seperate ways once we got to college age, and this was around when PS4/Xbox One just released, and it was safe to say the Xbone's E3 Press Release left such a sour taste, hence I moved to PC & haven't looked back since.

Only true as long as you only count games that are exclusive to this generation... Anyone who thinks PS5/XSX don't offer huge improvements over last-gen should boot up a game like eg. Apex Legends on their old console!

The reality is , due to the nature of business growth expectations and greed , Videogames will never be as consistently great as It used to be from 6th gen/very early 7th gen on down. Once this starts no matter what artform It Is , It never goes back.

@@UncleDjGames I have to retort . After watching many many PS5 pro A/B's ,I'm gonna have to say Sony just really blew this all to hell. If you are lucky enough to actually own a PS5 ( my Son actually had to win a friggin' lottery to get his !!!!) I would not advise upgrading at all. I do know this though . I am in no way planning on building a new gaming PC at any time in the near future. But the PS5 wasa an absolute disasterous launch & still pisses me off 4 years later .

Could Nintendo be about to save the gaming industry again? It's very possible. I think at this point everyone is waiting on Nintendo to reveal the Switch 2, which I think will really bring this console generation into focus, the thing is even though it's a new generation it doesn't FEEL like a new generation, it still feels like we're in the 8th gen. The recent lack of quality games on Xbox and PS5 doesn't help either with Nintendo being the only one delivering quality exclusives consistently which is very impressive when you consider the fact that this is the Switch's last full year before the Switch 2 comes out next year, usually game output slows down by this point but not this time. And I do want to stress this isn't me being a fanboy or whatever, I do have a PS5 as well and I do like it but I do think on an objective level this is true.

Hey good video. First off saying anything "is the worst of anything" is going to be subjective by it's very nature. And people on the internet are also very often hyperbolic in expressing their opinions. So you've kind of got your work cut out for you on the topic for this video. Second, I would say that the quality of a console generation is not defined by its hardware but by the quality of the games released for that hardware. It's why no matter how pretty transformers might look in theaters I would honestly prefer to watch... I don't know... some really old Disney Pixar 3D movie. Good visuals alone does not a good movie make; Good hardware alone does not a good console generation make. Anyway, liked the video, keep making 'em!

Sad but predictable decline. PS5 and Xbox Series have no identity of their own compared to their predecessors. Sony and Microsoft really need to take a few pages out of Nintendo's book in that they should try offering low-cost machines with unique exclusive games. Leave the 480fps CoD machine enjoyers to the PC market where they'll all go eventually anyway.

​@@UncleDjGames My point exactly. Back then every platform had its own library of games, its own flavor and multiple fanbases to fuel discourse. That's all gone. Instead of four amazing console game libraries, we've got two that are barely different from each other, and are also incredibly iterative with minimal innovation. Xbox has the biggest advantage over PS5 as far as new and competitive. #1. Developers Mode #2 Backward compatability with 4 generations of games that get FPS unlocked to 60fps and better visuals. #3. Auto HDR is real HDR on Xbox. That's right Sony, the PS5 doesn’t output real HDR for SDR content. #4. Quick Resume #5. Best first-person shooters and more. #6. When you buy an Xbox game, you get the PC version for free. And many other things that the Xbox can do that PS5 can't.

@UncleDjGames The Sony brand will always sell exclusives or not. Let's say Sony decided to go third party. They will still sell more than the competition. It's just like Jordan's. People will buy them whether they are conformable or not. If you ask the majority of Xbox gamers who didn't pick up the Playstation, they will tell you they aren't interested in their exclusive content. I'm one of them. The only PS games I like are Days Gone, FF7 Remake, and Ghost of Tsushima. That's why I would never buy a PS. Not to mention, PS services and games are more expensive than what Xbox is offering. Xbox might not be winning on console sales. But I think they are winning in the quality of service and prices we are getting. I personally would love Microsoft to return to its 360 glory. But we all know they have other things in mind.

I actually think this is the best generation. Sure, theres not a ton of games like there used to. But that's because they try to make better games. The power of the consoles and capabilities will be good for keeping them.for longer. Like faster load times. Jumping back into games faster and graphics. I think next gen will have a much small graphical leap compared last gen to this gen. The thing is that we have nestolgia for the past. Butnin reality things are much better.

I think this is mostly true. Especially the nostalgia part. However, I do believe there were likely more games, and better ones at that on the PS2, or the Xbox 360, or the PS4 compared to this generation. That being said, there still are solid games on the PS5 such as Demon’s Souls, Astro, and likely the best game on the system, Returnal. I just hope we get some more games before the generation ends.

@SpookySims I think cross gen games will last longer. So that current gen systems will run games far Into the future. They will just stop it when a game can't run on current gen at all. Like hiw last gen won't run gta 6. But alot if current gen games can be played on last gen. Call of duty is still being made for last gen. So I assume that this will only continue with this gen to next.
