Is This The WORST Hotel in Blackpool?! DISGUSTING - Avano Hotel, Blackpool

With over 1,000 reviews on Google and Booking .com, this is one of the worst rated hotels in the whole of Blackpool. Guests show pictures of bed bug bites, black mould, dust, cobwebs and all the horrors you can imagine. Recent reviews state things such as "full of bed bugs it needs closing down" and "mouse droppings on the sheets". I went with my mate Adam to see is it really as bad as over 1,000 people say it is?
We paid just £18 for a 1 night stay, as well as a refundable £20 cash key deposit. It's in a prime location, literally across the road from the Blackpool Pleasure Beach. With some free parking just across the road, if this does fill up however, the hotel offers parking on site for £10 per night. Around the hotel you will find some of the more luxury hotels in Blackpool, such as The Big Blue Hotel, Boulevard Hotel and Hampton by The Hilton. These hotels seem to taking up the area and pushing out the smaller hotels surrounding, how long will these smaller and cheaper hotels survive?

40 years ago myself and 3 friends stayed for a week in a Blackpool hotel near the funfair. We had full board, bed, breakfast and evening meal for £30 each for the whole week and it was brilliant! Spotlessly clean and good home cooking. So sad how things have changed, but they were happy days x

I used to stay at this one when it was called the Sinatra hotel. Which was very nice back then… Then it changed ownership.. I read a lot of their reviews on booking and the owners are so defensive and say that the hotel is cleaned to high standards. The way they insult guests in their replies are comical as well. Glad someone actually exposed this place for what it is👍🏻

Thank you and agreed! I left a review commenting the room had blood, urine, black mould, sweat, sperm... Every type of body fluid was found in the room. And the hotel replied "Sorry you didn't enjoy your £9 pp stay with us. Best wishes" As if the price justifies sleeping on someone else's blood. Lazy, clueless owners letting a potential gem of a hotel go to waste. Sad. Thanks for your comment, couldn't agree more!

Omg, I wouldn't stay if you paid, that room was disgusting, the bed was horrendous and was that supposed to be pillows on the bed, they were that flat they looked like just pillowcases! I've never seen such narrow corridors, gawd help them if there was a fire!!! They should be ashamed to call themselves a hotel, more like a hovel!! Thanks for showing this horrible place.

I used to stay in youth hostels a lot 50 years ago. Ultra cheap, we teenagers used to hike round Britain instead of Ibiza and Marbella and had very little money. Despite the low price, the hostels were basic but clean. Infinitely cleaner than this hovel. 21st century Britain 😱🤮

This is just one of the reasons why I have only been to Blackpool once and will never ever go back!!….ive seen far too many of these hotel videos and I thought my flat wasn’t the best (I am disabled and struggle to do everything all of the time), but at least ours is a million times cleaner that this! Wow!!

Don't think I'm surprised at this place lol never stayed there, but one of my old houses during my time living up there my dodgy landlord had a cowboy builder working at my house that was also a builder/handyman/repairs on this dump and lived on site and by looks of it still works there and would defo fit in here lol proper cowboy merchant. On a positive nice to see one of my old regular pubs Dog and Partridge in the background recommend it if you want a decent friendly local pub to drink in.

I think those 'urine' stains on the side of the toilet could well be burn stains from cigarettes. Someone probably laid their cigarette there while they finished what they were doing on the toilet !

I read a vlog yesterday about this hotel, the reviewer had to go to hospital and nearly went blind after being in that hotel. Hes on antibiotics for a fortnight due to an ulcer he got in his eye after he visited that hotel

There are cheap and nasty hotels in Blackpool but there are also really beautiful clean family run ones too. I know this because I've worked and cleaned in them , if you want a beautiful family run and spotlessly clean hotel book up in the Queen's plaza hotel Queens promenade north shore Blackpool. Buffet style breakfast too absolutely amazing staff and beautiful bar

I ws homeless a few years back and the hostels for the homeless was a fvk site better than this hovel. I'd rather dig my sleeping bag out and sleep on the beach than this turd hole.
