In regards to the framed piece of quilt, please don't think there is a negative story attached. Sometimes people just can't keep everything. As someone who is trying to declutter and downsize, the decisions can be really difficult.

That thrift store print was a Perfect find for you. I have quite a few pieces of temptations but I have never seen that tree set. Another good find. Good point about why there is an extra amount of clear glass at times in the thrift stores.....

I had the same issue today at goodwill with the store sticker was a cute bunny plate had a store sticker at $9.99 and had a goodwill price of $6 so I could get that price with a coupon so I passed it up. Gail Pittman is an artist from Mississippi whose pottery became popular in the 1980s. It is still popular with many people in the Southeastern USA now. Her clay and paint are always made on site. I have several pieces that I received as gifts…love them! And I think the ring that you called a moonstone may be a star sapphire which can be quite expensive!

The Gail Pitman isn’t technically just a candle holder. It’s the base for a beautiful yellow bowl that sits on top and was a piece sold by Southern Living At Home. I used to have one. I think you could buy the pieces separately. But, if someone has the bowl and broke the base, they would be very happy to find this. On eBay I see sets of 2 of these and I saw the yellow bowl by itself too. This could get snatched up as a replacement part. It’s a beautiful set.

I love the thrift store art, the fish and the slab with the artwork on it is a slab of Jasper (I have jasper rock on the side of my driveway) Very nice find! Get a little spot wet where the purple and yellow lines are on the back (I also see a little bit of blue) and you will see what it looks like if it was polished. It will amaze you. Really a beautiful piece!!!

I believe that it is Nevada Jasper. There are many different types. So do search Nevada Jasper. Again the colors will be so beautiful when you get a spot wet on the back. ( it won’t hurt the piece) I love natural stones, and I work with them a lot. 😊

I bought a piece of American Brilliance for $5 at an online estate auction. It was stuck in the middle of no no interesting clear glass. I was so happy to get it. Once cleaned up it sparkles and rings.

I never knew about American Brilliant glassware and now I'm wondering if I have overlooked picking some up. I know I have seen bowls that are thick and very sharp. I just don't know if they had the clarity though. Thanks for always teaching us!! I have a set of those Gail Pittman candleholders and I believe they are from her newer collections. Her 'Grapevine' Collection sells for good money. I scored with many, many of these pieces in the red for very, very little money, like $.59 for a dinner plate (and 15% teacher discount) + many, many pieces of Franciscan Desert Rose also little money at the same time about 4 - 5 years ago . This was when GW did not charge sooo much. I have not seen any of the Grapevine so at least 2 years now...

There is such a difference with buying for yourself and buying for resale. I loved those glasses. Never $3 for resale but I would have paid that for myself. You sort of have to have a split agenda when you go thrifting. You also have to remember how big your home in. Maybe buying the 4 foot tall giraffe for myself was not such a great idea.

The red hat art glass bowl/vase was probably from someone in the red hat society (they wear the big red hats and purple clothing?) and even though it was made in China, there is a big following and collectors of those items. It had the potential to still sell despite being made in China. But I also understand the thinking from just looking at it as art glass and why you passed.

The ring almost looks like a star sapphire, have that checked out. I have moonstone cabs and I’m pretty sure that is not moonstone. 😊

And yes, the necklace is rose quartz. Not sure about the pendant on it. But look through the light and if you see natural striations and not any bubbles then that could be rose quartz as well. It’s a little darker in color, but maybe could be of better quality 🤷‍♀️.
