It was no longer recommended because it was no longer profitable. The patent ran out before 2010 as well, but during covid pharmaceutical companies would have prioritised profit from their ineffective, patented, antiviral medications and effective painkillers, accepting the public as collateral for that profit. The simple explanation for ivermectin is it functions as a protease inhibitor which prevents cells from replicating at least one protein essential for covid, meaning the absolute *minimum* effect it has is a reduction of viral load.

It's absolutely unbelievable that people buy your BS. You're saying that people should believe that a man was intimidated during a professional interview for absolutely no reason, and therefore he couldn't give accurate medical information despite that being his job and him willingly deciding to do Joe Rogan's podcast? No matter how you twist it the dude is untrustworthy and a coward.

Tbh I think for a news network you should be held liable for lying in this way. A lie of omission is still a lie, regardless of how you attempt to defned or define it. Legally and by definition it is still a lie and they need to be held liable for purposely missrepresenting and defamation

Mainstream media has a lot to answer for in general, especially lately. The extreme fear mongering we've seen has certainly contributed to the mental health crisis, and its almost guaranteed that at least a few people offed themselves after election night because they thought it was literally a repeat of 1933. Its sickening when you think of how much damage they've done to society over the years.

Most of the times he doesn't have experts on, most of the time it's grifters, or people who are adamant that they are right when they are in fact wrong, it leads to sometimes mind blowing funny episodes - where I'm not sure if Joe Rogan believes them or not, but Joe doesn't interrupt them and let's them rabble on which I think is fine and in fact a admirable trait in Joe. Let the crazy people talk, viewers can dissect what they are saying themselves.

10:59 Joe Rogan didn't get radicalized, and he still supports Bernie Sanders and his ideas. He just saw how much the media liked to lie, and he believed the msm on what they said about Trump. Over the years, he slowly started to think he wasn't nearly as bad as they said he was. Joe Rogan is still way more on the left and supports basically all of the major ideas of Bernie Sanders, and he liked Andrew Yang to this day.

@vryc2 сағат бұрын
Once journalism started to become an "elite" institution, solely populated by people with degrees and as a pipeline for elite status-seeking, it lost the one condition it had retained for decades: honesty. There was a matter-of-factness about journalism. It had its dark times before WW2, but somehow, for about a 35 year period, it managed to attract ethically responsible people, people that were primarily interested in Truth. Most likely because many of these 35-year time frame journalists had lived through and fought in WW2, which imparts a harsh but true perspective not easily discarded. But universities no longer select for Truth-seeking as a good unto itself, and are instead simply a mechanism to distribute the accepted ideas and ideals of elite society. These 35-year journalists left a legacy and mentored many younger journalists, and for a time, this imprinted mentorship which regarded Truth as a paramount virtue in journalism, continued to shape these newer journalists within the media institutions. But over time, this was either diluted or lost as a new breed of elite-centric journalist took centerstage. Once this takeover was complete in the early 2010s, objectivity and honesty were stripped away for profit and a no-holds-bard tribal affiliation. Legacy media was now only interested as an elite-seeking signaling device, nothing more.
