Ultimately I feel that this set is more so a rendering of the guitar rather than a model. Like it really doesn’t look like a fender s style guitar. I sorta have to guess that it’s a strat and assume what it’s supposed to look like. And honestly the lego doesn’t capture aesthetic of a strat it actually sorta reminds me of a music man guitar. I cant believe how many guitarists get their stuff wrong here. Just to nerdly clear things up: -the princeton reverb does NOT come with a "dirty" or "lead" channel, quite the opposite: it has an additional "bright" input next to the normal one. Note that this not a separate channel. -Also two of the "inputs" on the back are in fact outputs: one for reverb, and one for an external speaker. -The golden speaker magnet cover (not the cone) is a nice touch, but does in fact represent a rare speaker for these reissues, that usually not come with the old special design jensen, but with the newer ones with a blue printing. - guy points to the tubes, pre and post amp ones. they are not wires. -the plate with the date just represents the serial number plate. Well, hope you learned something, cheers beeps!

@davidramsbottom352 жыл бұрын
Nice review, but I gotta say that I have a couple of issues with this set personally. Firstly, the red/black colour option bumps up the price, yet obviously one big lot of bricks are gonna remain un-used in reality - even if you decide to experiment and try both colours - unless you build your own models with Lego, then one is gonna end up in a cupboard someplace.... maybe Lego coulda offered both colours in their own set? Second, I've played guitar since 10 yrs old, my Dad played this model Fender & still has it and I also own a more modern Fender..... the headstock just isn't right, the rounded top is too bulbous - more like the Fender Jazz bass headstock IMO. Next up is possibly my biggest gripe - the pick-guard. On most Fender guitars I can think of, the defining characteristics of the design is rounded & curved, no pointed edges. The scratch/pick guard on this Lego model are shaped in a sharp, pointed manner which mar the overall look & ought to mirror the curved outline of the main body more closely. If you see the design done & built by the guy who first put forward this great idea, he's managed to capture these curves, so what happened during the development at Lego dept. to alter this major feature? The money saved by offering this guitar in your own choice of red or black colour (plus dumping the stupid looking fx foot pedal too!) coulda gone into a couple more details, such as printed volume/tone knobs and a few chromed or silver metallic detailed parts for the trem arm, bridge or even the studs that fasten the great looking guitar strap? It comes really close to being very, very good & well worth the price tag.... but for me I'm left slightly disappointed at the overall set.
