Last week it was announced that Phoebe Waller Bridge would be writing the new Tomb Raider series for Amazon, but will this show suffer the same fate as Indiana Jones and James Bond? Well, Lara Croft's a woman, so expect something much different.

It's incredible how many opportunities Square (Enix) WASTED when it owned the 'Tomb Raider' IP. Why wasn't there a 'Tomb Raider' anime? Why wasn't Lara Croft a playable character in a 'Final Fantasy' game, with the exception of a mobile game few people even remember? Why couldn't Lara wield a gunblade from 'Final Fantasy VIII', or a buster sword from 'Final Fantasy VII', in a 'Tomb Raider' game? We could've had a non-woke Lara Croft. But Square (Enix) dropped the ball, and never picked it up before the 'Tomb Raider' IP was sold to the idiots now turning Lara Croft into Kathleen Kennedy II.

I just finished playing the 2013 game again after many years (the one where Lara moans a lot and is accompanied by a character of Big Bang Theory) and man, for all its faults (mainly Lara never embracing a more deterministic and purposeful desire to raid tombs) it shows we didn't really knew how good we had it.
