Is Treluxe Worth it? My Honest 1st Impression & Review

The products might give (a bit) too much moisture on (very-) fine hair. And when also a leave-in is used, the stylingproduct will add more which may result in very soft or even weighed down hair... in that case minimize the amount of leave-in. I love to use the Treluxe serum on my very fine hair , but as it's moisturizing as well I cut the amount of leave-in I use in half. And I don't use the Treluxe gel on top but the Boucleme super hold styler. Such a good combo. To be honest Brandi, I lóve the way your hair looks although it feels 'soft' you say... and I can imagine this soft feeling gives a kind of insecureness while you want the style to last. When you're at 75% diffusing, just slightly mist your hair with water (so it just wets the outside, not soak in) and use a little extra strong hold gel that you slightly mixed with water rubbed on the hands... glaze all over and diffuse to dry. This way you can give some extra hold.

Your hair is lovely. However, "over handling" your curls and separating the "families" of curls increases opportunities for frizz.

I received these as a Christmas gift. I really loved the result when I used the serum and the gel. The next day I tried the foam and the gel and, while I liked the volume it created l, I really preferred the definition and hold that I got from the serum with the gel. It’s so fun to try new products! Thanks for the video!!

Treluxe is my favorite line. I'm not as in love with the wash as I am everything else in the original line. The new Soothe and Restore line not as much. The deep conditioner is good, but i dont like the primer or foam as much. I think you will find better results with the serum and gel together. They both have good hold. I use praying hands to put in the gel before raking, and I always get a cast, although it isn't as strong a cast as say maybe the Ouidad advanced? Also, the smell of the Tre'luxe makes it awesome as well. It smells like Christmas morning!!!💜

Have u tried Shea Moisture Gel souffle? I get similar results to yours and less expensive. I get 3 or 4 day hair before i refresh.

Love trelux I do serum, mouse, gel but I skip regulr conditioner and just do a light leave in in the ends unless I'm clarifying or it will get weighed down

I have silver white very curly hair. I have a hard time with dry ends. Any hair spray I have used dries out those ends. I use the TreLuxe ends for the first time and love them. My hair is super soft, with soft looking curls even after a little hair spray. I used both the serum and the gel on the ends. I wasnt sure from their explanation if both should be used but it worked well for me. I also typically have greasy looking flat curls after using some of the hydrating products on the market. Overall I love this

From what I have been reading the serum deposits the ringlets, then the gel provides hold and you top it with the fuam/mousse and nothing will get through the life of those beautiful, long-lasting defined voluminous curls

It was a no for me :( it didn’t hold at all on my hair. I still need to give it another try.

I tried the line many times when i first started 3 years ago and i found the gel would give a cast, however as soon as it was scrunched out it would fall and it never gave me strong hold. I reasently gor the foam, but i am not sure that i like it yet.

I tried the products too and unfortunately hated them. The mousse/foam always made my hair feel like it had a ton of soap in it. So much so that I would end up rinsing my hair out all over again. And with the gel, even a small amount caused flaking all over my hair. I’ll stick with Curlsmith and LUSbrands for my curls 😬

I just tried the Treluxe line - it literally flattened my hair. My hair has no curl definition and zero control (my whole head looked like the section you held up that looked flat and frizzy in the video). The only thing it did for me was make it softer and less knotty. I may try to work some of this product in with my normal LUS products, but in the end Treluxe didn’t work for me.

I’ve been using it for a month and I do not like the conditioner, I know it says no cinnamon but my skin turns bright red from it. Possibly caused hair breakage as well. LUS works best for me.

I have tried to like the hi-def gel & reflex serum but I didn't get any hold either, & my hair just doesn't like those products. 🤷🏽‍♀️ I know they're really popular with other curlies but my curls just don't like it.

LUS and Ouidad and my two favorites. LUS condition is hands down my favorite!!!! Leaves my hair feeling so soft. I usually mix LUS with Ouidad styling products. Just received Treluxe but haven’t tried it yet so we’ll see but wanted to answer your question about LUS.

You can separate while the hair is still completely wet while you’re applying product. You just don’t want to touch them during the drying process ❤

I used the shampoo conditioner which I couldn't use again because of the smell was so overpowering and then I used the reflux serum and the gel and it gave me no cast so I stopped using it I did try it like three or four more times and it just wasn't right for my hair 😊

I came here to understand how to use these products and just don’t like what I’m experiencing. The foam is like lathering your hair with solution and the gel does not give you any hold. Was hoping I was doing something wrong but I guess not. Disappointed.
