I purchased a Sig 365 a short time ago. First range visit couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with it. Second visit everything was 8" low left. I immediately knew grip and trigger control were my problem. I started concentrating hard on both and did a lot of dry firing. What a great coincidence that your video coincided with my needs. In just a short time I shoot the SIG better than I shot the larger pistols previously. Thanks for these 2 great videos.

I think this video along with your accompanying video on the fundamentals of grip are by and far the best and most in depth explanation on the topics I’ve come across. You explain and demonstrate the principles and techniques in an understandable way that genuinely helped me improve my groups and handgun shooting. -signed a former cop

Great followup on the first video. I have been used to rotating my strong hand grip so as to use the tip of my finger to pull straight back thinking I needed to use my fingertip. After watching, I will try to re-position my finger and keep my grip centered.

Holy crap, that finger thing is hard to do. I have the same finger issue as Kim. I have a Beretta 96 and I think it's time to give up on the Crimson Trace grips and get something thinner. I just installed the short reach trigger, I don't see any difference.

I've found that if I stick to my 1911s, K frames and P-35's I hit where I aim. If I shoot striker fired I aim for 1 pm 7 ring and it prints the kill zone. I think it boils down to shooting the gun and knowing the gun in your hand.

This and the grip video is outstanding! Thank you. Shot my new SIG P365 at 7 yards and hitting low left...but riddle me this...with my S&W SDV9E with Apex trigger hitting almost center though slightly low and left? Just smaller pistol exaggerating my trigger discipline? Then another member at the range let me shoot his 1911 and I hit all center 1" high? Got me! lol

Awesome video Kim. Even tho Neil keeps putting his two cents in.-) But if I was going to ask you a question it would be. Do training laser cartridge work as a training aid? If you want Neil to answer it’s alright by me.
@geaugafirearmsacademy5 жыл бұрын
Yes, they make great training aids. Even you can't afford the laser, dry fire practice is very important. Thanks for watching and commenting
@roccofilippi14185 жыл бұрын
I will tell you the laser is a great tool. There is a laser on Amazon for under 30 bucks that works fine. If you want an app to use with your phone spend the money and get the I Target set up. Will change the way you shoot in a day because you can see if the laser holds still or moves while pressing a shot.
@DeathByLego5 жыл бұрын
Telling people they aren’t wrong when they don’t shoot exactly like you do?!? And still gives them advice and trying to help? Awesome!! I’m kinda confused about myself. I don’t shoot a lot a lot, or really long distances. Probably 30ft at most. When I shoot a pistol (usually an HK-p30) I kinda wrap my whole trigger around it. And when I shoot a rifle, I use just the tip-off it... Is either one wrong.?. Like, actually wrong? I was originally fought to use as little finger as possible. But I saw a professional shooter use his whole finger and kinda changed to it... now I’m wondering if I was right to...
