Is Trophy and Achievement Support Important?

I think the sense of accomplishment that comes with getting achievements/trophies has got to a point where it is half the fun, it can change how you approach games and push you into different directions and side quests that you wouldn’t have done otherwise. I think that not putting achievements in a DLC or something similar is a bit of a waste as it’s pretty much an open goal in terms of adding a whole other kind of player base and getting people to interact with the game in a way that you’d like them to, plus people just like to have a little record of what they’ve done in front of them to make it feel more satisfying. always respected people who grinded for achievements/gamerscore on the xbox growing up, always creates great content to watch to this day aswell.

Another banger of a video! I find myself conflicted sometimes about trophy hunting; I really REALLY love going for a Platinum recently, but if a game makes me replay it multiple times to get slightly different endings etc. it frustrates me - Detroit Become Human was a recent example for me The point about competition was a good one too, and trophies/achievements can definitely enhance the experience of certain games where collecting them all can be something you can compete with too.
