Former President Donald Trump will be sentenced July 11 after being convicted by a jury on all 34 counts in his New York "hush money" trial. Criminal defense attorney and Columbia law school lecturer Caroline Polisi joined CBS News to discuss the possibility of Trump serving time.

I have a hard time with a trial based on the testimony of a convicted liar. You can look for at least one of those jurors writing a best selling book with a tell all about the trial.

@@gloriawilson3241 Well that makes 2 of them because just as Cohen is a convicted liar, the same is true of Trump now. As for the possibility of at least one of the jurors writing a book about the trial, they could do that whatever the result was. Let's not forget that it would have only taken one juror out of the 12 to think he wasn't guilty and it would have resulted in a hung jury/mistrial. Instead all 12 were unanimous in their conclusion, and that's good enough for me!

I don't know whether judge Merchan would lift the gag order before the sentencing, if the order still holds and Trump keeps violating it, I think he can serve time somewhere else than Riker Island where the secret service detail can be possible.
