Tulum got way too popular/over priced these days. As of now, Tulum is like Las Vegas by the beach. & Cartel shooting it out for drug sales territory & extortion. I have been going to the Riviera before it gots popular by Social Media.(7/8 yrs ago) Clean video though

Tulum was so spiritual for me!!! So beautiful and endless adventures. We stayed at Eldorado Seaside suites. We did party hard in Playa Del Carmen and took a yacht cruise in Cancun all for the low low. A MUST visit. Thank you for this video!!!!!!

Visited 5 Mexican cities in 3 1/2 wks this summer. Tulum was my least favorite of the 5. Over hyped and over priced. Didn't have a bad time, but wasn't impressed either. Price wise, if we started our trip there, then maybe.. Coming from other spots and comparing prices though? Had me saying, this is dumb lol.

I just came from there. I live in Miami and I ll say that the hotel zone is way too expensive. some places can be more expensive than Miami. It is way overpriced. Beach is beautiful tho and food as well. Do go out in centro where you are gonna find nice restaurants for ok prices.

This is quite a pretty commercial. However I don't think it's fair to portray Tulum this unrealistically. This is how tourists get hurt when traveling. They need to know where they are visiting and how to do it safely. The reality? There have been a few shootings in Tulum every week for the past year or so. Most have been cartel related, until a few weeks ago, four tourists were caught in the crossfire, and two of them were killed, at a bar right across from Batey, which is right where you were filming in downtown, yet no mention of that in your video. Tourists have have also been held at gunpoint and robbed in broad daylight while just eating lunch at a restaurants in downtown. The lesson here is don't go to Tulum with unrealistic expectations, or wearing your diamond wedding rings, or designer gear. You will be a target. Be low key and be aware that looking like a wealthy tourist is not conducive to your safety there, so don't flash cash or expensive clothing or sunglasses or handbags or even sneakers. Just be aware that Tulum is not Vegas and it's not a safe place to act like a player. Safe travels, kids.

I had so much problem with the police in Tulum, I got pulled over like three times for no reason... High key felt like I was being profiling. Loved my stay but hated the constant profiling by the police. Beware if you rent a car, it doesn't matter how slow you drive, they'll stop and say it's "illegal" not to wear a mask in the car.

If you do not have the money for the all inclusive resorts and personal travel, do NOT go to Tulum the shit is weak and overrated. We got robbed at the ruins, manipulation is common from people at tourist locations, and they harass you to buy things from them. We got into a car accident on Tulum beach, and the cops will never take your side. We were turning left on a narrow two way street and the taxi cab driver came from 3 cars behind us on the LEFT side and smashed into us hard. He tried to say I didn’t have my signal on but when I said I’ll go get the camera footage from the store that was in front of the accident his tone changed. Tulum is overrated and overhyped. Whoever is paying the influencers is also paying them to not talk about the bad.
