Ubisoft has delayed Assassin's Creed Shadows to February 14, 2025. The game was originally scheduled to release in two months, but the postponement may be due to recent controversies involving cultural sensitivities, such as the depiction of a one-legged Torii gate-a symbol associated with the atomic bombing of Nagasaki-in their merchandise and game. Ubisoft has also canceled its plans for the Tokyo Game Show and press previews. The delay aims to allow more time to polish the game and address these issues, although releasing in February could be challenging due to competition from other major titles.
