🤣🤣 I didn't think I was going to get any either! It was agony just recording Jon eat and have to wait for Jon to finish! Yes you are right, the beaches do have a different feel to them than Croatia. Another thing that we didn't mention in the video was that there is a lot more litter on beaches than in Croatia, which is a little off putting. The bedè (sp?) may also be a function of the Muslim community. Ask around a find out.
@roshiroshi12402 жыл бұрын
No no nothing to do with that. It's only because of the Italian influence. Bidet was invented in France but they don't use it at all. It's only widely used in Italy and Albania.
@BucketListTravellers2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for clarifying Roshi Roshi. Yes that was our suspicion too. We always thought that bidets were French but found it strange that we only came across them in both Italy and Albania!
@BucketListTravellers2 жыл бұрын
There might be a muslim angle to it in other countries. In Malyasia, hoses that function as a bidet are the norm. However it may just be a co-incidence that hoses are used in a Muslim country. Hoses are common throughout SE Asia.
@roshiroshi12402 жыл бұрын
@@BucketListTravellers I don't know what are they used for in muslim countries, but in Albania { I've never seen one in Tirana } they might be used just to wash the WC. I'm sure you thought those hoses are for the same reason as the bidet, but they are not. They might be used to fill some buckets or other things 🤔. I'm just guessing, because I'm sure they can't be used like a bidet. Not in Albania at least 😂

Do many businesses etc in Vlorë accept / operate in Bitcoin or Monero or Tether etc? That is definitely a question on many traveler’s minds, especially if one is considering another location for a pension residence visa etc. Might be something you will want to work into your presentations(?). Anyway, I LOVE❤ you guys and the way you work together and present. BTW, do you accept donations in Monero (cryptocurrency) or other cryptos?
@BucketListTravellers2 жыл бұрын
Hi FreeRadical1, this is something we didn't observe when in Vlore. It is a good tip to keep in mind, so we will pay closer attention to the use of crypto in various locations. Central America was increasingly using crypto for payments when we were there and El Salvador in particular has bitcoin as official currency now! We don't currently have anything set up for accepting crypto at this stage, thanks for asking though! Do you have any suggestions for platforms we could use? We've only got paypal at this stage (www.paypal.com/paypalme/bucketlisttravellers).

@@BucketListTravellers Hi guys! I went to Albania but shortened the holiday to 10 days because it was the worst destination I have ever been to. Apart from Sarande which has some potential as a seaside resort, it is not to be recommended. They have a huge problem with bacteria E. Coli contamination due to sewage going directly to the sea water. My friends suffered. Take a look for example at the Lungomare google reviews. There is garbage and terrible smell absolutely everywhere at the beaches and in the towns. Even the picturesque Ottoman villages are full of garbage and stray dogs. Roads are full of dead animals rotting in heat (from cats and dogs to donkeys and cows!). Albanians drive like madmen and there is no code of the route. The more expensive car has priority. I could go on like this forever frankly. Of course there is literally no food for vegetarians (I lost 2kg). And everything is much more expensive than Greece or Croatia, yet there is no comparison about the level of service and quality of goods. I have never been so happy to come back from my holidays.
