Great video, keep up the good work man! This is a tough one, as you mentioned all forms of club ownership comes with its own set of issues, none are perfect! What interests me though about private equity ownership is the end game. As in what is the real end game? They gamble with a lot of their investors money on something that, in so many cases, fails as a business model. You can spend all the money you want on a club, there is no guarantee of increasing value and or buying success. On the flip side, if you try to instill financial discipline, this could also backfire. I know you are recompensed for taking risks as a PE firm, but the risk of owning a football club seems far too great / bordering super unattractive. Maybe they have run out of things to invest in, or as you said, are using football clubs as nothing more than a vehicle through which they can generate fees.

Chelsea are finished. Everton missed a bullet with 777 and Liverpool owners still have to exit for their investors to be really satisfied. As mentioned here though all forms of ownership have their own set of issues.
