What separates games into fair and unfair to me, is how to grind works. The fact that you have a PVE mode to grind is already good in my book, and the fact that there is no "energy" resource that you need to spend in order to play more games is also a good thing (many games use such a resource). My question is, how fair is the grind? If you can grind levels of appropriate difficulty, then it is alright, but if you can only play levels that are too difficult for you and have to lose 1000 times just to progress, then it is unfair, since that means that the game is programed to make you frustrated and thus more likely to pay so you can feel some progress.

You can constantly grind at your level to level up your minis this gives you experience, but not gold. It is, however, exponential. The way you accelerate this is by having a larger collection, which means spending gold. There is a fixed trickle of gold every week (two events) and ways of eraning one-off gold as you progress in PvE, however the scaling for that is also quite hard. So you can constalty play for incremental progress, but it will take a long time without real money.

There is a one time 20% lifetime xp, and a 50% Gold booster. Arclight Booster i think it was called. This unlocks very early. Oh, and was about $20

The answer is yes. You can buy gold for mini's and talents, arclight energy for rank ups, the little coloured items you need for rank up, XP, straight up put Sylvanas in the shop for $22 to skip guild or PvP grind. Do you have to spend any money though? No, you can just chip away at it and you'll be fine.

To me the game is not as bad as other mobile games, so with that I feel its ok. I would prefer if mobile games could just be games on mobile, without any store at all, but the trends does not point in that direction, which leaves me with that we have to take what we get. And therefore I think Warcraft Rumble turns out ok. For me atleast.

And thats not because of not wanting to support the developers, but more in terms of gameplay. I want the ability to get everything I want from the games just from playing the game. Also, if things works like now, the game is also "balanced" around people buying stuff.

If your going to spend the Booster feels like the best item, I believe its a perm 20% XP boost and 50% Gold boost. Otherwise you are not limited to running quests or dungeon's to increase your XP/Archlight energy. Gold does get limited though ever few days you get these surges which will give you about 500-600g I believe. Everyone can get access to the same talents and the first several ranks in PVP you all the mini's are level 1. Starting at Silver 1 Mini levels are divided by 3 so there is a system to manage level differences.

I've been trying to figure it out but it's not very clear. Maybe you could help. These multiple talents that you unlock for minis at uncommon/rare/epic. Do these stack? For example, can I eventually have a Baron Rivendare who has Death Pact, Skeletal Frenzy, and Chill of the Grave and uses them all in battle? Or does having multiple talents simply offer the flexibility of choosing whichever one you think would be most helpful in the coming battle?

@@Nick.Georgiev You can only have 1 active talent per mini that’s why the first is the most important. But you can change the active talent in other decks. Upgrading the mini each time also gives it +1 to its level.

There are only 3 talents for each mini. You can buy any one for the common one. When you get to blue you can buy a second one, and again a third at epic, so they do stack, but you need to actually see them in the store or get them through an unlock @@Nick.Georgiev

I think for someone like me, where I'm at an office for 8 hours a day. And I have this open for like 4-5 hours a day I might have to spend money. You mentioned only playing 20 minutes to an hr, where I'm looking to sort of main a new phone game. Hope it doesn't drain me too much.

depends on your expectations for the game. If you want to be top of the pvp ladder, then yes, you'll need to spend significantly. If you enjoy PvE more, and are happy to be middle ground in pvp, then you probably won't have to buy much

it's pay 2 progress fast, f2p it will take months to reach a high level with your team and get the stuff you want. if you pay you can get your stuff you want faster. ultimately you'll reach the cap. there is no damage boost or items you can buy that increase your mini's power etc. so not really p2w . it takes me a while to reach level 10 mini, when someone pays it will take them less time but if he goes up the pvp ladder i wont face him anyway, by the time i'd face him my minis will be around the same level he only got there faster

The game is extremely rewarding. So, P2PF atm is not a must. You get 1200 coins from surges weekly. An heroic completion (if you got the cheap permanent booster) is 300 golds. Once you got all gold in dungeons, you get gold there too. 1200 gold is 1 rare a week. So, you can compete with the "whales" with a $20 spend if you play enough. It's the "freest" mobile game I have ever seen. For whales. Not even 2k is needed to max out all minis compare to these 20k/50k normal mobile games. But my worries are that this is only the beginning. We will suffer soon.
