I never read into the problems other people have, unless it with aftermarket parts blowing up for no reason. I’ll find the limits myself, I trust the syvecs in my Audi to shut it all down when there is even a slight issue. It’s Canadas fastest B9 A4 1/4mile in 10.21s at 147mph.

What would you guys recommend setting wise with revo stage 4+ on the mk2 rs with added methanol 50/50 and cams. Revo told me b9 t4 f5 Any help would be greatly appreciated..keep up the good work.

So what are some safety precautions to use when using a methanol injection kit. I keep hearing it can thin out your oil and burn up your piston rings. It sounds like the main culprit is in the tune. I'm not worried about adding it to my Mazda 3 but I want to do it correctly. Any advice would be much appreciated. I live in the states. Not sure I want to rack up the charges on my cell phone. If you can't respond I get it.

Have you been able to find out more through research? I plan on using s 50/50 mix on my DIT WRX and I have the same concerns. Thank you in advance!

@@matheusgiovannini571 Actually no I haven't found much more out than before. Just that they may or may not be a particular brand of oil specific to 50/50 mixes or higher. Lots of folks mentioned using a slightly higher weight to help with any thinning. Especially since OE oil is already pretty thin. At least mine is. I would also go with forged upgrades just to add extra precautions. They sound like fun in addition to the supercharger I want to add. I mean if you're going to do it why not use caution and have fun. Zoom zoom.

I have a '12 range rover supercharged V8 with 150k miles and I imagine to have tons of carbon build up. I wonder if a light water/meth spray would help to clean up the top end while preventing timing retard on hot days when I climb mountains pulling my drag car. The water is likely a better carbon cleaner than meth though right?

Meth is the anti knock, water is the cleaner & lower temp producer.

If you put water meth on the engine that was dirty will it clean off all that buildup?

MJP - you should just be pushing your own tuner's tunes rather than dealing with OTS maps from various vendors ie REVO. Much better to run a custom tune for each specific motor and setup. Especially for a meth application because that method is just a guess at timing, boost, afr etc.

I would just do more frequent oil changes, from what I've been seeing..guys run water/meth for years with no issues..it's basically a steam cleaner for your internals and only does good!
