I haven't used her eye shadows, but I love her Peau de Soleil Super Loaded. I'm fair/light but I use it on my eyes as a one and done shadow. Sometimes I take a matte stick shadow to define the crease. Like you, I use all the other colors all over my face. Don't have Peau de Peony because I thought it would be too bright/deep. I have her cream blushes and contour, but the Superloaded are my favorites. Thanks for the video!💚

I have two WA cream blush only and refused to buy anything else coz i cannot justify the price. Although I really like the blush I will not recommend it or repurchase again. Honestly there are many great blushes in the market much cheaper and there are higher quality ones that I enjoy more. For the luxury brands, I only recommend the Cle de peau cream blush. Their formula is amazing and I haven’t found something that matches. Their cream is subtle and thinner on the face. The East Asian beauty are wayyyy affordable and have great quality so I really only use my Chanel foundation, Cle de peau cream blush and everything else I use my Asian beauty products. Thanks for the this ❤ I love your honesty and great content.❤

😅I will *never* part with my Westman Atelier original Super Loaded Highlighter Compact in Peau de Peche. You will have to pry it out of my dead hands!😂 *Nothing* has ever done so much with using so little for my face. I use it all over -- face/eyes/even lips. It is *so* worth the price for what it does for me, and it lasts for a long time (and doesn't go bad). Thank you for this wonderful review. I'm going to get Peau de Sante next -- it's so beautiful! And... her I Want You mascara is *phenomenal.* I get full, fluffy, natural yet 'done' lashes. No clumps, no flakes, no smudge, and the tube lasts quite a while. Its now my #1 mascara. The black is pitch black and glossy. The brown is rich and beautiful. ❤

Hi Angela. My dermatologist happens to agree with yours. “ clean beauty “ doesn’t necessarily mean better. They use herbs and oils and plants that can cause reactions on some people. I for one am okay with talk etc. Got a couple of the face products from W A because I saw you use them and must say Iove them. I have mature skin but oily not in excess. Hope your weekend is great and that you rest a bit. 🥰🥰😘

I can go into details about talc and how it may affect human body but it would be pointless because talc is being removed from all makeup products anyways (as you can probably notice). There are plenty of scientific publications and anyone who is interested can do their research and read. The decision of WHO to classify talc as "probably carcinogenic" was based on "limited evidence" that talc could possibly cause ovarian cancer in humans when used in the pelvic area (this is not the face); and it could posses risk when talc is being mined and contaminated with asbestos. Again, plenty of research both on talc and as for clean beauty - my best advice is to discuss your skin and products that you use with a board certified and experienced dermatologist. They are happy to discuss clean beauty and ingredients with their patients.

@@Frenchforaday Hi Angela I am med professional so I understand how EBM works for instance there is 0 clinical trial (so the highest evidence according to Bradford Hill criteria) that proves that smoking causes cancer because it would be unethical thing to do if you have strong association and timeline sequence and it is not only limited evidence in humans for ovarian cancer but in animals and in lab. And some evidence is for even endometrium cancer and lung . For instance, in the classifications a lot of the meds were never ever tested in pregnant women and ofc are not recommended either way. On the other hand whole another thing is the EU removing retinol form the shelves bcs they assume people would be more sensitive to the sun and won’t put the sunscreen on,especially having in mind that a lot of EU countries doesn’t even have high UV index like Greece or Spain bcs well they are in the north. So talc would be basically remove bcs of the trends (smoking is still here but I would charge those people extra insurance or made then pay if they got sick after the treatment bcs why would the others pay for their irresponsabilities and they got to put in danger not only themselves but even others if the risk exist with the pasive smoking and then used European social contact system as if they weren’t aware) bcs now it would never be ethical do prove all what talc can do according to the best standards, no doctor, medical center, scientist or analyist would do this. The same thing is that parachute were never proven to save lifes bcs you won’t throw people out of the plane/skies without it as a control group. So my point is sure data limited and will always be but it doesn’t mean the effect is not very bad and dangerous. My other point that all those doctors against smoking or derms keep telling smoking will ruin your skin lol while there is ‘limited data’ and any smoker can tell that. So I am so repelled by those docs correctly speaking well for new ingredients we don’t know or speaking against smoking but saying nothing against old formulas that we have at least some data (and about new ones we don’t have anything), I don’t consider those intelecutally honest and I am always supersad to hear that those exist. Because there are docs recognizing sure hormonal therapy (well this all do) and oral contraceptives (this sometimes) can harm women but in individual cases there is bigger benefit. That is honesty. Benefit of powdering the face is not comparable to PCOS or endometriosis.

All of the Westman Atelier products that I own have been purchased after watching your videos. I have the Pink Bubble powder which I love. I have two blushes, Petal and Dou Dou. I am thinking I may need a couple more after watching this video, LOL! I have the illuminator in Peau de Rose and the lipstick in Minx. I love the color of the lipstick but I don't love the packaging. It is quite heavy which generally denotes a luxury brand but I find the shape of the tube to be vexing for me. It just feels awkward in my hand. I do like that it has a strong magnetic closure. I am thinking about the liquid illuminator but haven't decided for sure yet. I am definitely picking up the lips suede in Rouge as I love the colors. Another wonderful video, Angela. I know that Westman Atelier is a bit of a polarizing brand. People seem to really love it or really hate it! I find on my 70 year old skin, that most of the products that I have purchased, have worked well. I don't think I would just order something without having you review and show the products, though. Thank you again for all your hard work. Deborah

I bought the new WA Toujours eye pods. I think it’s important to know these are not the typical eyeshadow we are used to. They are more subtle and do not last as long either. These shades are a bit warmer too. I like the eye pods - they have their place - really fast and easy to apply. Little effort is required and they are very forgiving - you don’t need to be precise. I do recommend WA eye brushes - particular the flat one. They work perfectly with the eye pods. Just don’t expect Natasha Denona-esque shadows. This is very understated natural looking eyeshadow. I use a Laura Mercier or Victoria Beckham eye stick in a neutral shade as an eye primer. I love the clicking sounds when stacking the pots.

I’ve tried a lot from the brand and have ultimately been disappointed in most things. I’ve received several lip products that were rancid on arrival and others that went off quickly. The eyeliner I received was dried out and crumbling when I received it. The texture of the foundation stick did not work well on my skin and it flared my rosacea after a few days of use; the stick includes alcohol so no surprise there. Couldn't get past the smell of the complexion drops and felt they looked greasy on. I've had the best luck with the blushes, highlighters and lip glosses, though the lip glosses are very $$$ for the amount in that little tube. Not a big fan of the brand overall.
@ElenaDoinoffMaquiLab2 ай бұрын
My first Les Rouges palette came rancid, I had a hard time returning it because Cult Beauty were trying to convince me it just smells like that and the formula is very thick. After I finally got my money back I got the palette from Niche Beauty and it was a totally different experience! That being said, It’s been less than 12 months and the rancid smell can already be felt… same with a bronzer - when new, it has a slightly acidic scent to it but that has now changed ☹️ I am NOT a fan of Gucci’s clean beauty policy as they obviously impact stability. Otherwise, her blushes and the tinted highlights are form faves. Just wish she would work more on the stability of all of her formulas…

I recently purchased a few items from the brand. I purchased the bronzer and their powder brush and one of their lipsticks in Minx. I am very impressed with the bronzer and have a hard time getting the right shade. I bought the lightest shade and it is perfect-not too yellow or golden and not too red. The silky texture makes it so easy to apply and blend. The lipstick, Minx, looks coral on me and I like coral especially in the summer. The texture is very smooth and not drying for a matte lipstick. I was skeptical at first, but now I really like it! I bought the powder brush to use with the bronzer as it is a small size and perfect for precision in application. The brush is so soft and applies the bronzer beautifully. I would think it would be great for the setting powder which I do not own, but might be a future purchase. The sales associate used it on me and it gave such a nice finish. He also used the foundation stick on me along with the blush stick in Petal and the look was very pretty. I received a gift with my purchase which included an eye pencil in dark brown and a tube of the mascara. The eyeliner is a nice rich dark brown and went on very smoothly; however, in the heat and humidity, it ended up under my eyes even though I used powder after my concealer. I will try it again though as I like how it glided on. The mascara was a complete surprise! I typically wear a tubing mascara as I usually get smudging under my eyes, but this one didn’t move. I will most likely purchase a full-sized tube. Thank you for your review on the brand.

I think Westman Atelier has good products in general, but they are expensive for the amount you receive. Of course, it is meant to be a part of luxury beauty, so I did not expect it to be in a reasonable price range. I may buy a super loaded tinted highlighter in Peony, because I love the shade. And I hope she comes out with refills. Chanel and Dior do have refills for their cushion foundations and most of their pressed powders. Thank you, thank you for this informative video, Angela! I don't understand why the suede lipsticks would get bad reviews they are the creamiest formula I have ever used for a matt and they don't crease at all despite the fact that I am 57 years old. They have the best cream blush consistency and I now want to try your latest love colour even though I usually go for cool. My current is petal. I find the foundation sticks great but not perfect. I am still searching for a perfect foundation for me. I use their contour stick as well and love it for the consistency as well. Would like to try the pressed powder in pink bubble on your recommendation and because I am looking for a powder that work make my under eyes crepy. I did try the highlighter stick but didn’t like the moonstone shade on my face. Might try the illuminator and lip suede on your recommendation and look. Also not sure I would like the highly rated highlighter pan you spoke of as I prefer lightest shade and those sparkles sound intimidating to my age.❤❤🎉 oh yes and that mascara looks very pretty on you. From WA I just have the pink powder and I like it for setting the eye primer but I am disappointed that the refills are not available even the powder is on the market for a good amount of time. Because I have good alternatives I will repurchase the powder when the refill will be available. I don’t like their mascaras, lipsticks and foundations. I agree about "clean beauty." I like WA makeup, as well, but not because it is "clean." A WA product that I have repurchased several times is the contour in Biscuit. It is more of a bronzer/contour on me because I am cool-toned. I also love the blush that you love the most and I love the Peau de Rose. My next purchase will be Peau de Peony, but I think it is so expensive and I am just waiting to buy it for a little longer. All of these products are very expensive, but I like them so much more than most and I am so satisfied with them that I do not tend to want more other products, so in the long run I am not actually spending more if I buy the quality products that work.

The foundation is great with my skin and the loaded highlighter is so unique. If I don’t feel like wearing blush, I wear this and the highlight gives the face some dimension. Cream blushes are everywhere, however, I really like the mimi color. Everything else- eyeshadow, mascara, lipsticks, contour, bronzer, I can get elsewhere.

I have tried a few products from Westman Atelier and I find that none are actually worth the price. The foundation stick looks beautiful on my skin, doesn't settle in creases, has decent coverage, but it doesn't give that flawless finish that regular foundations give. It just looks like good, regular skin. Nice, but for the huge price I expect better. The blush looks beautiful, but dissapears in a few hours and looks like I haven't applied anything at all, and I even have dry skin. The brow pencil I absolutely hate, it's so chunky it's very hard to properly define brows. I don't like the barely there method they use in the promo videos, just the barest of swipes and done. Again, it looks like nothing if you apply it that way. The lip gloss is very basic for the price and you can't get the last bit of product because the wand is too short. And the worst thing, except for the blush the products are almost finished in just 4 months of use when I can get feom 6 months up to a year from regular, non clean luxury beauty. I will definitely not repurchase.

I do like Westman Atelier foundation stick. I like that I can sheer it out and make it more like tint. As much as I like it, I won’t repurchase. There are other products for less money I like just as well if not more. I like her lip gloss but won’t repurchase. I loathe the packaging. I find it too bulky and heavy. And, the gloss really isn’t that special, in my opinion. I really do like her cream blush. It easily builds for me and lasts all day. I have 3 shades. I also really like her contour stick in biscuit. It blends out beautifully and creates a stunning shadow. I received her pink powder as a gift. I won’t repurchase as I actually prefer the Givenchy loose powder. I bought one of the new matte lipsticks in Pique, a taupey nude. It really surprised me. I like the lipstick but do not really like the heavy, bulky packaging. Plus having such a strong magnetic closure the lipstick grabs all things metal near it. I was very disappointed in the eyeshadows. I bought the green, brown and peach trio. When it arrived, I adored it. Until I wore it. Tried it with a primer and without. I normally don’t have a problem with creasing but this shadow either creased or just faded away. Very disappointing. Will I purchase anything else? Probably not. I honestly can’t justify her exorbitant prices. I actually prefer Japanese makeup. I am extremely fortunate to have a good friend that lives in Japan and can purchase any thing I want.

Hi Gerri, I love Kjaer Weis blushes. One thing that I am not happy about is that my favorite Reverence is always out of stock and it's so hard to buy a refill. Most of the Kjaer Weis blushes are slightly creamier but that doesn't affect the performance. The only exception is inner glow by Kjaer Weis. The formula of this color in particular is a bit dry but the color is gorgeous and doubles as a highlighter. In a nutshell, both brands have amazing cream blushes. So it depends on which color you prefer and which packaging is more appealing to you. A serious advantage of Kjaer Weis is that they are refillable. Westman Atelier are not.
