They don't understand critical thinking or anything, nothing like that, but they know how to chant slogans repeatedly, they know how to participate in minor unrest, they can do self righteous anger, and in a few years time they'll be working in the highly curated media, or have some other career, making money and living out their comfortable middle class lives. No doubt they'll be happy to indulge in a bit of virtue signalling when the need arises. They add such value and enrichment to society.

"Tell it like it is...if that offends" is a form of bigotry.
@shylinh593936 минут бұрын
@@martynblackburn9632 You have to be clearer regarding what 'offends'. There are those who seek to be offended in order to suppress the expression of ideas they disagree with. I assume the bigotry you are referring to is very narrow, and relates to things that are offensive and where the intention is to offend. But what is now described as offensive has expanded considerably. If someone 'feels' offended, then the attitude or words are de facto offensive. Some cannot tolerate feeling offended, it is in itself offensive, and will immediately resort to assertions of bigotry; another word and concept that is increasingly ceasing to have meaning. It's a far easier option than having a reasoned discussion or argument, something they might expose themselves as being poorly equipped to do It is irrefutable that in the wider sense, claiming something is offensive is frequently little more than a tactic intended to shut people down, shut discussion and analysis down and essentially remove any credibility from what is being proposed. That isn't fantasy, it is a reality and challenging or drawing attention to this reality is an example of telling something like it is.
