I must have rewatched that touch pass from Dobson to Marriott at least 20 times. BEST signing = Okonkwo; FAVORITE signing = Dobson ❤❤❤

This channel is underrated! It deserves more subs! I'm a Yank enjoys your podcasts and discussions even when sometimes I have a hard time with the accent ;)

Very efficient play. Depth of bench, in my eyes, is spot on.

Phil Parkinson is criminally underrated. Multiple promotions. Frequent deep cup runs. Possibly the first time in a very good career that he has the full support of both the dressing room and boardroom.

Watching your podcast each Thursday morning is a perfect start to the weekend’s football festival! Your dissection of everything Wrexham is insightful and I would urge our US fans to listen to you guys so they will learn so much about the game. Great ambassadors for Wrexham and a great weekly diet of football which is not to be missed.

And us newbie fans (of 3 years) on Vancouver Island appreciate the behind the scenes knowledge you two provide. Wrexham fans for life.

The Shrewsbury fan was frustratingly reasonable! Yes, on Parky being underrated. He's taking us to the Championship next.

Good point. Often when we play well, we are stopping the opposition and making them look poor. We often think they were a poor team. No they're probably not that bad . We made them look bad.

Yes Phil Parkinson is an excellent manager. Let's keep him

It's quite hard to come down from cloud 9 when your team keep winning supposedly "hard matches". The loss is coming but if they can win against Birmingham then there's no chance of fans coming down from the high

Every single year everyone starts saying that we need to replace Phil Parkinson and then towards the end of the season every single year everyone is saying that we need to keep Parkinson. If I’m happy about anything is that the owners don’t listen to the fans when it comes to management.

Palmer and cannon.... very underrated. I think palmer was more injured last year than spoken. And yet, when he is in, they win matchups. He got bashed unfairly last year. And canon has an engine that never stops

Posh were the better team until Wrexham scored, who then scored again shortly thereafter. Posh couldn’t break down the Wrexham defence, failing to create any clear cut opportunities (despite the 69% possession) and failing to score; so, an off day for the Posh attack. Wrexham could well follow the example of Oxford, and win promotion by being rock steady and doing just enough to win.

real question: If Wrexham promote will the be able to stay in the championship? and if they can do you think it will damage the image or rob and ryan? I don't think you should look at a prem move before you stable build the cash reserves and get the stands done.

3-1 Wrexham. The confidence from the win over Orient keeps the Shrews going to spoil the clean sheet.

Parky's on a one tear rolling contract. That's an anomaly given the player contracts. Edit: Wrexham Shrewsbury, they'll both be stood there looking at the ball in the middle of the pitch, going. "go on, you have it".

Possession stats are very misleading. Possession in the final 3rd is what matters. If your team is constantly making back and side passes in your own half, these stats are irrelevant. Wrexham defence stopped Peterborough from good goal scoring opportunities in the final 3rd. The excellent and organized defensive 'box' of Wrexham not only kept goal scorers out, but caused frustration among opposing players, which led to mistakes on the pitch. In addition, Wrexham's opponents spend a lot of wasted energy in order to maintain possession at any price--so you will notice the opposition teams becoming very tired and dispirited as the game wears them down. Wrexham were quite happy, many times, to allow opponents to maintain possession in the front 2/3rds of the ptich, which gives the 'appearance' of their opponents being 'in control' of the game--then Wrexham breaks away and scores a goal, or obtains a corner, which leads to a goal. If Wrexham did not couple their excellent defence with an explosive attack, then it would not be as effective, however, Wrexham have proven themselves capable of sudden, dangerous, and effective attacks. The only criticism I have of the current starting 11 is Ollie Palmer. At 6'5", Palmer is a definite asset for headers in set pieces and in advancing the ball, and Palmer is a very clever passer. That being said, Palmer does not have endurance or speed. Wrexham needs two fleet footed strikers to explode into break-aways--such as when Ryan Barnett raced down the side and provided Mullin with a perfect cross. Palmer provdes height and toughness and is definitely good in many situtations--but not the break-away. Notice that Liverpool and Man City have at least two speedy strikers on break-aways who support each other and overload the defence. Look at how many City goals are from break-aways.

I thought Rathbone come off that right hand side into the middle too much , so our right wing back was isolated at times one on one, and parky likes to double defend as lee and mcclean etc do down the opposite flank when the opposition are on the attack. Hopefully Rathbone gets used to the system we play asap especially, if cannon is out for a bit.

Wait why is rich now saying ‘I was worried we were going to sign an older striker’ when you’ve been telling us for the last 2 months we have to go for an established striker?

Nope. "That's the Way Like It" is indeed by KC & The Sunshine Band. I'm old enough to remember when it was a hit record. That said, I didn't recognize the song during the match. The fans don't sing it accurately. It should be "Town away (That's the way), I like it. Uh Huh Uh Huh. Town away..." The Uh huh's give the song a pause and the right rhythm. Then I would I have easily recognized the song.
