Love all your insights! I laugh when you lament about early kickoff times. Poor old Rob McElhenney in L.A. and us on Vancouver Island are up for an early kickoff at 4:30 am . Put that on your pillow:)

I can't believe how wishy, washy everyone is. He could have fine to League 1 instead of coming to Wrexham. He has major surgery and misses the beginning of the season, and now everyone is ready to jump ship on SPM?

Mullin is definitely a League 1 / Championship striker. Have to remember that he's missed another pre-season, he is still playing catch-up, he is getting in the right positions, just needs a goal off his knee or something. I feel for him a lot of the time, I see him making good runs and players not on the same wave-length. He is living off scraps at the moment. He is a proven goal-scorer, just need to stick with it.

Problem we have is we rely on mullin so much to grab us the goals as up front, there not really another striker we have who can contribute alot with goals if mullin misfires. Again on the transfer window for front men it been a bit dodgy if truth be told, With Mo the jury is still out on him and the big transfer fee given, was it a desperate move due to other missed targets or a clever one paying that much , time will tell. If we are to sign a striker in january another one by the way then surely it has to be a striker who actually scores goals regulary once and for all. ( oh and never a penalty on gregory, by time scarr had hand on back ball had gone , he lost control of it )

Hey Guys - hope you're doing well. For now, I'm trying to give SPM the benefit of the doubt. That said, he should set his ego aside and act as a decoy to attract defenders and pass off to others to finish while regaining his form. I'm concerned that he's hellbent on proving his scoring prowess at the expense of the team's results.

A very good discussion. I just hope Craig hasn’t given too much away about the Stags. I’m old enough to remember winning at Wrexham to clinch the old Division 1 championship many years ago. I wuz there! A repeat of that would be nice but I think at Mansfield we all think that consolidation in the current Divison 1 is the aspiration. Just wish I had Sky!

Growing up in North America, the only games I ever got to watch were ManU. They are one of the richest clubs in the world, with one of the biggest global fanbases with one of the largest payrolls. Where do they sit in the Prem? Stoke has some of the wealthiest owners in the pyramid. How are they doing? How's newcastle doing with their saudi oil money? Money doesn't buy everything. Try and appreciate good ownership.

changing their badge ? lol .... the very first things Ryan and Rob stated when they purchased the team was that they were not here to "change" everything but rather to support the team and the town of Wrexham in pursuit of growing the club and hopefully all the way up to the Premiere League. a change in their badge would fundamentally change that very mission statement and make them look like hypocrites. they don't appear to be hypocrites to me

Personally, I can't be done with the ich dien motto and the three feathers. Go back to the old crest, more authentic.

I love the badge. Not a fan of changing the core of Wrexhams history. It’s like a family coat of arms. Some things are best left alone.
@VeryUsMumblings8 күн бұрын
They shouldl do a new badge, but more like a refresh of the old. They have to keep two dragons, not one (Rob & Ryan!). they have to keep the barley (they just bought a brewery!). And they have to go with the shield not a circular shape, but they could simplify it. If they keep the same colours, red, white and dark green, but use a modern font and remove the ribbons. Then they should be good. 👍

I like tradition so I tend to not want to change things but I'm not crazy about Wrexham's badge. Do we know when it was designed? I tend to like the round badges with more stylized designs rather than the flowery, intricate designs. I understand Rich's concerns about the political message behind the current badge, too. I love that Wrexham, the oldest football club in Wales, is the Welsh team that gets the red dragon and I think it should be on the badge. I would suggest a round badge with a colliery wheel, the dragon, and 1864 in the design. I grew up in the San Francisco East Bay, so hearing you talk about the Oakland Raiders was kind of weird ...❤
@DraigBlackCat8 күн бұрын
The badge goes back to the 1973-74 season. It was the result of a competition run via a local newspaper in 1973 as it was then the club's Centenary (it was only later we found the evidence for the founding in 1864).

I don't believe I've been following Wrexham long enough to have an opinion about the badge, but just wanted to say how refreshing it is to hear someone say "I had a strong opinion, but started to think it through to really form a proper opinion". Lord, if the world would just adopt this habit, we could avoid a lot of abuse. Just to help you if you are keeping a tally, I'll just say I live 20 min. from Jimmy's home town.

I absolutely get it; from season 2 of WTW it seemed to me that a number of Rob & Ryan's 'guests' were more likely potential investors. Nevertheless I have bought my last Wrexham shirt as they don't need my money any longer; proud to wear their gear on the other side of the world when it was about supporting a mob of Celt battlers, now it's becoming more like the opposite of an underdog and especially outside england, almost de rigeur for the type of human I don't find I have anything in common with, I'm much less interested. Not that I bear anyone any ill will. What is happening is a feature of 21st century capitalism not a bug. My biggest concern is that "The Turf" gets knocked down in the renovations, stadium improvements or whatever & becomes a vip lounge for select members only. The destruction of public bars in public houses is an anathema and I understand why Wayne Jones was one of the first cabs off the rank regarding supporting the new owners, yet it is a pub and as such part of a community which shouldn't ever be deliberately cast aside.
