Woodlot owner here. I was fortunate that my neighbors father left a small 5 acres patch of good quality wood (oak and sugar maple) whereas everyone else clearcut for miles around. Today, forest have reclaimed this land and my woodlot has noble species. If it was not for that patch, id have nothing but poplar and red maple. Seed banks are crucial and I can see the benefits 65 years later....

Another great video thanks man. Going to take a look at your DIY forest management guide. PS if you don't enjoy mowing your lawn you need a new mower!

Ha, you're probably right!

Awesome video! I'm up in the PNW with a wooded property and I've been working on this place for 5 years now and love it! My biggest issue/job that I've been working on are all the crazy blackberries and trespassers! I'm with ya on not enjoying mowing the grass! I have an amazing mower which speeds it up but it isn't as rewarding as working in the woods.

This makes me want to go do a seed tree harvest! Working out west and it also looks like a practical route to go in a place where wildfire once roamed freely and now lots of people do.

Nice video 👍 I also like to work in the forest but use a really old machine.... 👌 Excited to compare your forest with the one I have at home in Sweden 👌

The forest guy thinks mowing his lawn is dumb I thought I was just ignorant of something
