Very good video the only things I think is missing is which tip from the soldering machine you are using and the temperature bc you only show the temperature from the hot air machine but not the other one so we would appreciate if you put that info thanks for the video

I actually replaced the female plastic end where the charger inserts into on the end of the flex which I found to be quite easy. Is there any reason you don't do that when the pins are destroyed inside of one?

I have the same problem with my iPad 2nd gen, No power no apple logo changed the battery and the backlight is working. I try to remove what you just fixed before realizing I should not touch it I think caused some damage. would the charging port Stop the apple logo from coming on? I had a new battery put in. I also used a blow dryer on the back before the new battery that could have caused it too.

Hi, I did everything you said and switched out the port. One weird thing happened. The way you have the board oriented, on the bottom row of pads the outer most left bottom pad would not take solder. I see where it went into the hole and contacted the underside but the pad is still showing copper and solder will not stick to it no matter what I do but all the others did. What's up with that? Has that ever happened to you? Is there something I'm missing? Thanks!

I have a weird charging problem and I am wondering what your thoughts are on the matter. iPad 9 not charging kind of wiggly to charge. I tightened the port and assumed that was the issue. I then tried to charge it but still had the same issue. I tried three different USB A to lightning. No charging whatsoever but it passed dock flex and tristar. The iPad seems to know it's plugged in but won't charge. i tried a type C- lightning and now it's charging flawless but only with that cable. Any idea on what could be causing this problem.

Your camera is recording a different frame rate than the frame rate of the test device which is why your test device is flickering when viewed by your camera.

Having someone fix almost any kind of device of this nature is totally last century. Today it is cost prohibitive to even have the problem diagnosed much less fixed. Yes there are probably a few exceptions to this , but most of us have sadly learned that the cost of labor means, just toss it and buy a new one.

Hi Jessie thank u for this great video , so i try to think about this culd u use the Flux, 63-37 paste to help replace the old solder, clean, flux then go in with the heat & iron.
