They are. The package is real, but the brand doesn't make it. Brand buys each component from a third-party manufacturer. The "fake" isn't really fake. It was probably a defective lot of the carton where the color was off. The third-party manufacturer should have destroyed the defective cartons, but instead, gave them to another company to make copies. The bottle is definitely real. A bottle like that costs tens of thousands of dollars to develop because of the custom molds. A counterfeiter wouldn't be able to make their money back if they tried to duplicate it. They are either stealing defective bottles from the bottle manufacturing plant, or they are recycling used bottles. Also, the actual fragrance inside is very easy to copy exactly. They buy their fragrance oil from another company that blends custom fragrances for hundreds, if not thousands of brands. It's very easy to duplicate.

the safety element is the serial number on the bottom of the bottle, it must be engraved... take something sharp and scratch it... if it is wiped off... it is with paint and it is fake... if it remains it is engraved and it is original...
