Its a double edge sword, all responsible means accountable, the sacrifice you are aware of him dying on the cross right? Thats called accountability. You think that God holding himself responsible doesn't lead to him being the responsible one for enforcing the righteous judgment of all? I mean, you say "all responsible" and I agree but recognize that means responsible for judging you and himself too. being the primary cause of something and so able to be blamed or credited for it. having an obligation to do something, or having control over or care for someone, as part of one's job or role. Animals suffer because people, you and I, have sinned! It is called 'free will.' God has allowed people to choose good or evil and, choosing evil, we have brought death into the world, animals included. Interestingly, you seem upset about the death of animals. However, if you have rejected God, then it is the universe, this mindless, sadistic universe, that pulls pranks like death and pain on everyone. Yet, even before I met Christ, I knew pain has a purpose, a message it is telling you. Something is wrong and if you do not fix the problem, you will forever be in pain. Now, I can rise up each morning and face the day, knowing that God is in control. Yet, as an atheist, pain has no purpose. You slowly watch those you love drop off, one-by-one, reminding you that you may be next. You drive to work, knowing that you might die, burned alive, if a tanker explodes next to you - or you just my have a hidden brain tumor or be hit by a falling plane! But, hey, relax! Everything is good, right? When you are young, you have dreams of fun, adventure, and romance, only to find a broken world with broken dreams and broken promises. Even if you do have it made, you have your fine dinner with the faces of starving children, dying of malnutrition, outside the restaurant window, watching your every bite. Have a nice meal! How do you even get up in the morning? Yet, I know Christ! I know my Creator and I go through this world with an enjoyment that an atheist cannot understand. In fact, I have perfect contentment - and I am not even in heaven yet! For example, it is a privilege for me, not only to know and work with Christ, but to suffer through life's challenges with God. This is where God has me and - until He calls me home - I literally could not be happier. Soon, you will stand before God and your quarterback criticism of the Almighty will be counted against you, making you rue the day that you were born. Yet, Christ died on a Cross so that you may know Him. Jesus Christ is the light of the world.

Free will was always weird to me. “Okay I made you with a built in urge to do something ‘sinful’, but you aren’t allowed to listen to that urge and if you do then you will be burned in fire forever.” My immediate response would be, “then why give it to us?” “Because you have free will.” “so I have free will but have to do everything you told me to do in that book or else?” “Yeah.” “How is that ‘free will’?” “You’re grounded.” That’s not free will. It’s a delusion of free will. If everything made by him is perfect then why create a built in flaw. Also, anybody else think it’s funny that the forbidden fruit came from “the tree of knowledge”? Maybe, instead of 'trying to believe', you simply follow the instructions in the Bible? For example, do you ever think that you might not have had a meeting with God because of the hardness of your heart? Is that even on the radar? Jesus said, "The pure in heart shall see God." Did you ever ask God for a pure heart, for an honest desire to know Him? Do you assume that you honestly did? In contrast, I met Christ the first time I asked. In fact, I have not doubted my salvation in over 40 years. That is because I am 'seated in the heavenlies with Christ.' When I asked to meet Jesus, I had certain faith that I would meet Him. No doubt! Now, in my salvation, I am secure. Do you long for peace on earth and peace in your soul? You will have neither without Christ! Why go blindly into eternity! Years ago, I was a pedestrian hit by a car. I almost died and my reaction was one of disappointment as I long to see Christ. I was not afraid of death as I am 100% secure in friendship with Christ. He died on a Cross so that you may know Him. Jesus Christ is the light of the world.

@@uiliumpowell4684 To state such a thing about Jesus and Paul is a common misconception. Paul met Jesus on the road to Damscus (Acts 8). And Paul wrote to the church at Galatia..."But I make known to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ." (Galatians 1:11-12) And also he stated..."To me, who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ," (Ephesians 3:8) And you think Paul thought too much of himself? "For even if I should boast somewhat more about our authority, which the Lord gave us for edification and not for your destruction, I shall not be ashamed-" And again, to the church at Corinth Paul says..."If I must boast, I will boast in the things which concern my infirmity. The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is blessed forever, knows that I am not lying..."I say again, let no one think me a fool. If otherwise, at least receive me as a fool, that I also may boast a little." You can see that it was through weakness that Paul desired to exalt The Lord Jesus Christ.

Nevermind what 90+% of Christians would say here. Also, Buddhism does the same thing although they use other means other than God to transcend the self. Why would you want to become selfless? Especially Romans9:18-23 Which seems to suggest that the sole reason God created billions of people destined to hell is to show off to those few destined for heaven. `Hey! Look what I can do!" It's bizarre, but apparently it made sense to a 1st century religious fanatic.

You hide the truth then demand blind faith from the people-- THAT'S what you do. Are you that jealous of humans? Or just afraid?" "Yes. He feared humanity." The peace route and all the characters debunking the tenets of christianity one by one is honestly one the the best things i ever saw in that series. Legit, being an atheist unironically helped me beat the anarchy route flawlessly too, since from the get go I understood what the flaws with YHWH's ideology are and why his rhetoric is simply empty. It's interesting to see how easily people who aren't indoctrinated can easily see the problems in christian dogma. Often times when the example given is not biblical, they're also very easily able to understand when similar ideas are faulty or immoral, but the split second it's god doing it, it gets a free pass because that's what they've been programmed to do. So many people are so close to freeing themselves from the nonsense, but fear usually holds them back, since christians actively attack and abuse dissenters and those who do not retain the status quo. The only true tenet of christianity seems to be hypocrisy.

But in short, of course, as it is common, it came to my sinful nature (which is of course just a cope out), and my reply was basically: if no one is perfect, and everyone has sinned, then how such system can be right? It's the same as asking my dog not to shed fur, or birds not to fly, and comming with an absolute punishment for breaking the code, or for any other absurd reason, such as "not using proper English to communicate". P.S. Recently have use the list of contradictions you made for the "evil god" not so long ago to discuss with a good pastor I know, and it really made him think. The progress was astonishing! I want to reemphasize how important your show is to me Brandon. Thank you for doing it. I know sin was the primary focus of this episode, but a strong secondary topic was Christian’s ability to give God c credit for anything positive, but yet not acknowledge his culpability in the tragedy, with the obvious example being the California fires. It makes me wanna crawl through the TV screen to see people giving God credit for their survival or some silly symbol, they perceive in a couple of beams landing in cross formation,, knowing that others have lost their lives and homes and suffered in terrible ways it’s such a narcissistic and small world mentality and a demonstration of complete lack of empathy

Good video as always, in my opinion. Someday you’re gonna have to bring up Plato’s Allegory of the cave and how it ties into all your videos. How a piece of ancient philosophy makes so much more sense than the Bible stories.

It's ironic that devout Christians are often all about teaching their kids to become independent from them, yet they do the complete opposite towards their God.

"And lead us not to temptation". Why did Jesus tell us to pray The Lords Prayer with the "Temptation Clause" in it if god does not try to get us to sin? There are a lot of feral cats in our neighborhood. PAWS has us listed as Community Care Givers i.e. we feed the cats and look out for them. You mentioned money for bills. We (The Neighborhood) , I am not complaining, are all struggling to make it each month, even our Christian neighbors. We ask god for help so we can provide for these extra creations that have relocated here. My point is where is this god's help. We are the ones sharing from the fruits of our labor to help his creatures yet nothing from god. I keep thinking about how we are told that those who give and share will be blessed, yet what I see in this world is people who give yet where is that promise. Yes I know: Build up your treasures in heaven not on earth. They can tell that to the cats when we all can no longer afford to feed them and the cats are starving. I am sure that will make everything better. Where is this god: oh that's right he said he would not hear the prayers and people crying out in the last days. Seems he has been doing that all along. What a great deception, make every generation think they are in the last days so they will refer to him saying he would not hear our prayers.

If ever there was something that I were to be angry at Yahweh over, it would be how I was groomed to see myself and everyone as responsible for something he set up. Plus, the fact that there will be christians that see this video, this comment, and go, "Evil! Wicked! Selfish vile worm, how could you be so evil as to not see yourself as responsible for the sin of another!"

Seems pretty obvious that the responsibility for our sins falls on God if he made us without free will. Which anyone who accepts the idea of him being all-knowing has to assume if they have any capacity for critical thinking. If the future is objectively definable, nobody has free will because every decision anyone ever makes was already set into motion by prior events.

The religious have invented an imaginary god that is all powerful but not responsible for abusing his godly power to create evil and suffering in the world. Instead the burden of shame and guilt for such things is on his children. This is brilliant.

So many good points!! To continue the metaphore, imagine being a new employer with no reason to think the original stapler ever existed but still the only way to be forgiven for the past employee using it was to believe that the boss' son let the boss use thier shared stapler for the weekend. lol The story truly is a mess when you try to put it in any other context. On the other side of this coin, according to Genesis 20:6 god has the ability to prevent a king from sinning against him. But he couldn't prevent Adam and/or Eve from eating a piece of fruit lol.

@@christophergibson7155 In Genesis Yahweh said that on the day you eat of the fruit you shall surely die. In the Hebrew the word death is describing a physical death and the word day is describing a 24 hour day. Then in Matthew Jesus says the son of man will come before his followers had gone through all the towns of Israel. So two instances of lying.

@@BluStarGalaxy Yes, God was absolutley right about Adam and Eve and consequences of their actions. They died in the spirit from the presence of God. The canopy of God's life and protection was gone...cut off. They got a new knowledge alright, but it was a knowledge independent of God's Spirit. And later on they died physically. Now, because of that one act of rebellion, now everyone and everything dies. And Matthew 10:23 had not seen it's fulfillment yet. Although, the Apostles and early church spread the gospel after the Day of Pentecost, there was still to be a continuation even through the nation of Israel. Jesus made it clear when He said..."And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come." (Matthew 24:14) It is impossible for God to lie. (Titus 1:2 & Hebrews 6:18)
