You forgot to mention the importance of cofactor MAGNESIUM with Vitamin d 3 plus K2! So important to remember to take both together at high doses.

With the obesity crisis, what formula would be used to accurately measure one's blood level? Per Kilo, Pound etc etc. Per 10 lb for that matter. This a critically important factor for accurate results.

A few days ago, I received the results of my blood work that included, for the first time in my 76 years, the level of vitamin D that required additional paperwork from my doctor to do the analysis. It is 55ng/ml. I left the grey skies of Chicago in 1999, for the sunny skies of Buenos Aires. I burn easily with white skin because of vitiligo from age 22. I walk daily for sun and exercise to keep my immune system strong. I stopped using toxic sunscreen a long time ago. It doesn't take long for my skin to turn red. The only vitamin D made in Argentina is a gel capsule that contains 250mcg/10,000UI. I take two per day. Thanks for your great video.

Wait, i need to hear about this genetic stuff. My doctor's refuse to test it because "it's expensive" and "not the standard of care." I was taking 30k iu's and still watching my level drop to 18. I'm in Cleveland but can afford the functional medicine institute or function health (which doesn't include generic testing anyway).
@recoveringsoul7555 сағат бұрын
Tell them you're willing to pay out of pocket for the test. Sounds like an HMO insurance doesn't cover it. I wanted a test when I was pregnant and they told me I wasn't old enough. (But I would be old enough 3 weeks after the birth, so close enough). What they failed to tell me was that I could have paid for that test myself. So instead I was a nervous wreck for the rest of the pregnancy. Sometimes they are penny-wise and pound-foolish

You didn’t mention K2, isn’t that important to take with D3?
@diamond-anniefergus891611 сағат бұрын
I agree I was thinking exactly the same thing. Magnesium, potassium, zinc and sodium are also critical as they all work together❤

My vitamin D levels have sat at 20 for years and I realize I need to take a supplement, however, every time I do I get severe body aches. Is there a reason for that and how can I fix it.
@jfdc843211 сағат бұрын
My HYPER Vitamin D almost killed me. It was 235, and I almost died. It’s important to monitor your levels in both directions. Too much or too little can be lethal.
@andrewmcelvein614910 сағат бұрын
What were the symptoms that almost killed you at a level of 235 ?
@HomesteadAce10 сағат бұрын
Its only "as important" to monitor if the two had equal probabilities; meaning you are way more likely to be deficient than overdose. Without calculating probability, you might as well freak out that too much food could kill you or dying during a marathon!
@jfdc84329 сағат бұрын
@@HomesteadAce it’s always important to monitor your Vitamin D annually. So you know you’re taking the correct dose, because your needs do fluctuate with your sun exposure. Always monitor.

What about balance issues/dizziness etc. Feeling like your like your reactions are slower etc. Neck movement popping and snapping sounds with movements up and down etc are those also part of low D ? I know i am insufficient on D and suffering with those symptoms. On the D train for 2 weeks now feeling of low energy and lower back pain seems to be gone but neck popping and balance seems to be lingering. How long it takes to restore to normal functions ?
@recoveringsoul7555 сағат бұрын
I think the neck popping is just calcium deposits. I have that too. But when I regularly do neck exercises it goes away. Just tip your head to the left and right , towards each shoulder. Then forward chin to chest, and back look at the sky. Do that a few times to loosen up. Then do neck circles, clockwise and counter clockwise. Those noises are breaking up the calcium deposits. If you do that every day the popping should go away and not build up again.

I'm living in my car now for a few months. It's hard to eat healthy without a refrigerator😅 and proper kitchen. Lots of processed food, canned stuff. One of our community had a stroke yesterday. He's only a few months older than me. I know I'm deficient in D and have supplements. But I need to get lab work done so I stopped so they can get a good baseline when they test. I heard a couple of people died out here. Lot of the men drink. And smoke. That won't help anything and it's expensive.
