Very cool, I've seen people do swaps with the IS350 front brakes onto the IS300 as well as those are fantastic 4 pot calipers by default, with the IS350 and even the RX350 F-sport brakes as even more aggressive options. However, all these require a conversion kit and some pretty crazy brake clearance.
@Inline6TV7 ай бұрын
Yeah I was looking at those also IS-F brakes. The Supra front brakes are enough for me, I always find myself not having to put any effort to slow the car down. It has made a real difference

Should've never cut the intake part of the dust shield. The front bumper, splash shield ( under the engine ), and the vents on fender well are designed to direct air directly to the brakes and rotors.
@Inline6TV9 ай бұрын
Unfortunately mine were falling apart from the rust and had holes in it anyways, you could trim them down if you want to keep the dust shield but you’ll be left with not much. I don’t track the car anyways so over heating will never be an issue, also if I ever decide to track it I could run air ducts straight to the brakes. As for the splash shield under the bumper I’m also not running that because I’m running an Altezza bumper ( smaller than USDM ) I’ll be putting a splitter though to cover the underside soon.

Nice job! The stock breaks on the is300 are ugly as sin. Defiantly a great upgrade looks/performance. Can’t go wrong

Thanks! Yeah the car does feel better when braking, and yeah definitely a nicer look compared to stock is300 brakes.

hey what kind of caliper paint did you use? Those TRD decals are cool, where'd you get em, and did you have to paint those too?
@Inline6TV7 ай бұрын
I just used high heat resistant caliper paint that I got from my local auto parts store. The calipers stickers I got off eBay you can choose to clear coat over the sticker to prevent future peeling or damage and have more of an OEM finish.

What are the parameters of the wheels on your car? Did you put the spacers on?
@Inline6TV7 ай бұрын
18x8 +45 but I’m running 10mm spacers all around. I needed them for my front to clear my Supra calipers.
@uniteshampoiz36928 ай бұрын
hi, nice setup, what's the wheel specs and do you use spacers ? i want to know if the BBK will clear with my 17 7.5j TE's
@Inline6TV8 ай бұрын
18x8 they won’t fit a 7.5 I’m using a 10mm spacer in the front. It depends on your offset I guess. I have extended studs in the front and rolled fenders so I had no problem running a bigger spacer.
@uniteshampoiz36928 ай бұрын

+45 the ideal setup for these cars that I’ve seen have the best fitment is 17x9 +30 which clear bbk with no spacers and it is what I’m eventually going to

Did you have to run the adapter for the calipers? Going the same route on my car. Just got my calipers in today

Yes there is offset adaptors. Same ones you would use if you used LS400 calipers.

If the OEM remanufactured callipers are at least 700 you write above in your description then how did you do it all for under 500 as in your title?
@Inline6TV9 ай бұрын
I used remanufactured calipers not OEM and they were $200. I ordered through my dealer which just gets them through a local parts store that we use. I’m sure they sell the same ones at like an advanced auto or something.
