എന്റെ മോന് ഇപ്പോൾ 16 വയസ്സ് ഉണ്ട് 4 വയസ്സ് വരെ യാതൊരു പ്രശ്നവും ഇല്ലായിരുന്നു. അവൻ 5-ാം മാസത്തിൽ തന്നെ അച്ചാ അമ്മേ എന്നും വിളിക്കുമായിരുന്നു കമിഴ്ന്നു വീണത് 4ാം മാസത്തിൽ . വയസ് ആകുന്നതിന് മുനതന്നെ നടക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങുമായിരുന്നു ഇവന് പനിയും ജലദോഷവും വരും കൊല്ലം ജില്ലയിൽ ശങ്കരമംഗലത്തുള്ള പീഡിയാട്രീഷൻ മനോജ ഡോക്റേയാണ് കാണിച്ച് കൊണ്ടിരിന്നത് സംസാരിക്കുമ്പോൾ കുറച്ച് കൊത്തവരുമായിരുന്നു ഡോക്ടറുടുത്ത് പറഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ അത് കുഴപ്പം യില്ല ശരിയാകും അഞ്ച് വയസ്സ് ആയപ്പോൾ നല്ല രീതിയ്ക്ക് സംസാ രിക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങി കുട്ടിയ്ക്ക് കഥയിഷ്ടമായിരുന്നു മൊബയിലിലേ ഏകദേശം ഒരു മണിക്കൂർ ദൈർഘ്യംഉള്ള കഥ കേൾക്കുമായിരുന്നു അത് തിരിച്ച് അമ്മയോട് പറയുമായിരുന്നു ഒന്നിലുംരണ്ടിലുമൊക്കേ വളരെ സമാർട്ട്ആയിരുന്നു രണ്ടാം ക്ലാസ്സിൽ വച്ച് തനേ ഒന്നു മുതൽ പന്ത്രണ്ട. വരെ യുള്ള ഗുണന പട്ടിക പഠിപ്പിക്കുകയും അത് തിരിച് കാണാതെ പറയുകയും എഴുതുകയും ചെയ്യുമായിരുന്നു ഇവന് ഏഴ് വയസ്സുള്ളപ്പോൾ ആണ് കൊച്ച് ടീ വി പ്രോഗ്രാം തുടങ്ങിയത് ഈ പ്രോഗ്രാം കണ്ട് കൊണ്ട് ചാടുമായിരുന്നു.സ്കൂൾ വിട്ട് വന്നാൾ ഉടനെ തന്നെ Tv ഓപ്പൻ െചയ് ത് കൊച്ചു ടി വി പ്രോഗ്രാം വെയ്കും ഒരു ചാട്ടവും തുടങ്ങും പിന്നീട് മുകുളോട്ടും താഴോട്ടും ഒരേ രീതിയിൽ തന്നേ ചാടാൻ തുടങ്ങി കുട്ടിയുടെ െമെന്റ് മറ്റാരു തരത്തിലായി പഠനത്തിൽ മോശമായി ഡോക്റെ കാണിച്ചു ഫലം ഒന്നു o കിട്ടില്ല ഇപ്പോൾ വല്ലാത്ത ഒരു അവസ്ഥയിലാണ് ഒരു പാട് േഡാക്ടർമ്മാരെ കാണിച്ചു അവർ ഡി പ്രഷന്റെ മരുന്നാണ് കൊടുക്കുന്നത് ഈ മരുന്ന് കൊടുത്തട്ടും ഫലം കാണുന്നില്ല കുടി എപ്പോഴും കാർട്ടൂണിലെ കാര്യം ഓർത്ത ഇടയ്കഇടയക്ക് ചിരിക്കും ഇത് ഓട്ടിസം ആണോ അതോ ഡി പ്രിഷൻ ആണോ എന്ന് ഞങ്ങൾക്ക്അറിഞ്ഞു കൂടാ കുട്ടിടെ മനസ്സ് മാറ്റിയടുക്കാവാൻ ഡോക്ടർക്ക് കഴിയുമോ റിപ്ലേ പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.

ഓട്ടിസം രോഗമാണ് എന്ന് തറപ്പിച്ച് പറഞ്ഞു ഡോക്ടർ ഏതൊക്കെ കുട്ടികളിൽ ഡോക്ടർ ഇത് ചികിൽസിച്ച് ഭേദമാക്കി. ഞാൻ തിരക്കിയിട്ട് ADHD യ്ക്ക് മെഡിസിൻ ഉണ്ടെന്നറിഞ്ഞു. ഓട്ടിസത്തിന് മെഡിസിൻ കൊടുത്ത് ഭേദപ്പെടുത്തിയവരെ അറിയില്ല. മെഡിക്കേഷനിലൂടെ സുഖപ്പെടുമ്പോഴല്ലേ അസുഖം എന്ന് പറയുന്നത്? ഇതിനെ എന്റെ കുഞ്ഞ് അറിവ് ഇതാണ്.

I am an Occupational Therapist by profession.. I am working with autistic children for the past one and half years.. Autism is not a disease.. It's a developmental disorder.. It is not curable but can be reduce the symptoms and help them to get an independent life.. Most of the autistic children are higher functioning so academically they can perform well.. Mild autistic children could lead a near normal life but neglecting the symptoms in early life may cause different situation. I have seen children showing symptoms due to lifestyle (eg, mobile phone use and cartoon addiction from early life), if they start therapy around age of 2, and with proper handling by parents most children will become normal.
