There seems to be a little bit of confusion regarding Isaac and his orientation. Well here is my explanation to avoid further confusion. Alice Oseman had mentioned in Twitter it was intended that Isaac is aroace. I felt like he is too. And we can't all perceive the same stuff as being aroace. So you are free to perceive in your way 😊 the edit is just in my pov of Isaac being aroace. Aled is their fourth friend in the comics whereas Isaac is their fourth friend in the show. Isaac is totally new. Isaac =/= Aled

(it might partially be due to trauma from a previous relationship, but my current partner is incredibly caring and I still *cannot* be bothered about sex haha) Anyways, I identify as panromantic demisexual, so you could definitely take a look at the asexual umbrella & keep in mind that romantic and sexual attraction are two very different things :)

As an aroace, I feel like if it was explicitly stated that he’s aroace the representation would feel a lot more comforting. It feels like I’m just filling in the gaps by calling him aroace because Isaac barely got any screen time so his character wasn’t really explored as much as the other characters.
