Such a polite and humble dude, Isaac is always a treat to listen to. Great video and great questions man I think you really did a good job of opening Isaac up and letting him display his personality in all his answers, which should always be an interviewers goal. Job well done!

Call me whatever you want, I fkn love this man….I’m 41, far from being a teenage kid but you know how when you were 14 and you felt like that one band just saved your life and gave you so much simply from some songs. Well at 41, he is still so much of a rock to me, (yea yea I know) but he is absolutely unrivaled over the last 20 days of music, originality, musicianship, and especially lyrics, he is an absolute poet. I don’t care at fkn all that I’m gushing here because I love ya Isaac, and just having my first child 10 months ago, thank you for this album and the time that you made it because it hits home for me on even more of an internal level. JUST BEING HERE NOW IS ENOUGH FOR ME. WE needed that mantra rn, and I for once can currently rejoice in that mantra. Please keep making music, that’s my only wish ever from you, please just keep making music !,

"Just being here now is enough for me" is my favorite lyric from this album. So simple yet so meaningful and true.

cool to hear about parting of the sensory, crazy song, it's like he's ranting to god or the universe or something. and i like how it begins sadder sounding, and gets angrier and more manic as it goes on. that record is pretty underrated i think, a lot of lost gems, like March Into the Sea, for example, pretty heavy song for Modest Mouse. And it also has that sadness and anger that Parting of the Sensory has.

i can't imagine liking any other modest mouse song any better...ever. it is SO fucking GOOD...the first time i heard it i almost couldn't stand it. crept up on me, of course, because that's how it's constructed. for my money it's also the most metal thing they ever did...i love a lot of death metal and the like, but i'm the odd uncompartmentalized american who also like MM.

this guy does about as many video interviews as he does albums. how and why he is on this one is making my brain short circuit. another than that, he looks like he's not using drugs. kids will do that. have a feeling that the next albums will be on point on account of being a dad. Edit- reading over my original comment and can see that it might have came off as negative or perhaps even like a Darsh ive actually super pumped on this interview in fact any interview of Issac I get really hyped you just cant find many of them so I was a little surprised when I seen this and also happy that he's lookin healthy i have noticed a tendency to speak bluntly in the moment and sound like an ass in hindsight also the new album is actually pretty dope also also I apologize for the lack pf punctuation I tend to mumble when I stutter...

Having kids SHOULD do that. I know I got my shit together, unfortunately my daughters mama couldn't handle it and fucked off, but she already had severe issues that she was hiding from everyone. I hope she gets clean and finds her way to happiness, for her daughter's sake.

@@punker-gamer-trucker-guy you're right my boy. not everyone is fortunate enough to make the correction. just because we all have choices doesn't mean we always pick the best ones at the right times. regardless every decision you ever made in your life has lead you to this exact moment. good on you for handling business. hope your girls mom is able to make it around the bend and shake that shit off. like you said, for your daughters sake. good luck my boy

nice. He did better than I would have high on psycilobon. lol, jk. how modest mouse manages to stay on brand amazes me. So, the piecing together of lyrics, so honest. Some of my musician friends, would defensively use the dreaded word in music "lazy". "if that makes sense" is quite possibly my fav thing people can say...in certain conditions. Is what I am saying making any sense? makes total sense to me, I can kinda understand why I like your band, Issac...no really..I really enjoy 'Walking and Running'. It's got a mood and vibe to it. Hah. Fucking everything gotta be moody and vibin' this season. Nah, this isn't making sense. Because I can't animate while using the words I am typing. But if you've watched this, I am sure this comment will make some sorta sense.
