Listening to Isaac Hayes Takes me to 1971 Dec/ 1972 Jan when my younger brother and I came to Motown as children. I'm so glad I grew up in Motown, different then any place in America at that time, the Brothers and Sister's dressed every day you'd have to see it to believe it. Music was the thing, everyone kool and hip the only city were at that time they hung out on Avenues together, worked together, Black folks was the coolest people on earth, finest Soul sisters, Cars, hot rods, boats, music, beer, weed, card playing, festivities, Boblo island, Belle Island, the zoo, and neighbors those were the days. Issac Hayes was known Big Time in the 313 R.I.P Black Moses

Although he is gone the music lives on. They don't make music like this anymore. Thank you Black Moses.

I just love the showmanship of the old school artist. They wanted to give you a show. Earn your money with unadulterated talent! This is why this music is such a staple. They had to really give of themselves to get from us.

A great storyteller, I love "by the time I get to Phoenix" it sounds like the character is escaping a narcissistic lover. Perhaps that's why it resonates with me. But really, Black Moses is a true king, sadly underrated. Also, I am glad before, I regrew my hair, often, I was considered his doppelganger by so many strangers, people driving their cars on more than one occasion said I look like Isaac, when I was in the "Latin salsa clubs" I heard it from Latino's, in line waiting to watch a movie, hey you look like the soul singer and this was approximately close to his death. So, RIP the king of soul.

There goeth that beautiful-but-handsome-but-strong-but-intelligent "TENDER, LUSCIOUS MORSEL" of an Isaac Hayes proving why before and after his death, he is a soothing, loving, healing and romantic force unto this very day. Uncle wouldst say more but he hath a front-row, stage-centre concert seat !!! Please cease speaking and detracting from Uncle's Isaac Hayes experience !!! THANK YOU !!! THANK YOU !!!!!!!! THANK YOU for allowing Uncle to enjoy the beauty of that beautiful man who maketh Uncle weep over that very same beautiful man's beauty that goeth across so many levels !!! That gracious gent singing about this "MAN FROM TENNESSEE" (hint) who wast forced to "TASTE THE SALT OF HIS OWN TEARS" after giving all of himself as he "PACKED SLOWLY" and then made a long journey unto renewal !!! That same 'sexiness' whose lips causeth one to desire to be the microphone that those very lips singeth into !!! That beautiful balded-ness that is so husky, dusky and musky that attracts Uncle's senses !!! Oh, dear GOD ... that beautiful-but-strong-but-intelligent ISAAC HAYES !!! That dark, musky, husky, dusky yet deep thang (thing) !!! Dear publisher 'Piza 73' ... gratitude unto thee for the 'free ticket' unto a time -travelling 1973 gig !!! THANK GOD FOR THE TIME-MACHINE LIKES OF THYSELF !!! OH, THANK DEAR GOD !!!

@@stevenl.7584 Black Moses and Moses are not the same. Moses was a Blackman. Why did Isaac feel he needed to refer to Black Moses? The Black Moses says there is another type of Moses. Just like the "Blackman" says there is another type of man. Shalom!

Moses was Akaneton, a black man. Black is used in every sense of the ancient Egyptian term, purity. Why would anyone want to call Akaneton, Black Akaneton?
