This is one of your best statues yet! I would suggest one thing with the skeleton. Where the skeleton holds the globe i would unscrew at the elbow joint and just flip it 180 degrees then screw it back together. Also, just a thought, maybe a crown could be fabricated using wooden skewers from the dollar store. Attaching them to a headband is another story..LOL

She is stunning. Even for you, with all your outstanding creations, she's jaw-dropping. It's all the details you add that make the difference. I was going to ask you about using an article of clothing or a costume to dress the statues. I thought it would make it lighter and easier to shape as I don't have much strength or dexterity and even less artistic vision. I wonder if there are fabrics that don't take Monster Mud well? Most of the costumes are slippery polyester. Time to start researching. Oh, the globe was simply inspired. Being a belt-and-suspenders type (in a windy area with uneven ground) I think I'd drill out the center of the flange so she can be slipped over rebar or a T-post into the vertical PVC for added security from toppling or mischief. Or eye hooks into the wooden frame and those spiral ground anchors as long as the back panel detaches. There's a better way, I'm sure. Thank you so much for sharing your talents. It takes a generous spirit to create something so artistic and be willing to share the process. You're a gem. Wishing all good things for you and those you hold dear.
@IsaacAlexanderDIY4 ай бұрын
Thank you so much for your kind words and thoughtful feedback! I'm thrilled that you found my creation so captivating-your compliments truly mean a lot to me. Regarding your idea about using fabric or costumes to dress the statues, I think it's a great approach, especially for making the figures lighter and easier to shape. You're right that certain fabrics, like slippery polyester, might not adhere well to Monster Mud. I recommend experimenting with fabrics that have a bit of texture, like cotton or burlap, as they tend to take the mud better. Researching different materials is definitely a good idea to ensure the best results. I love your idea about adding extra stability, especially in a windy area. Drilling out the flange or using eye hooks and ground anchors are clever solutions that could provide the security you need. It sounds like you're already thinking ahead, which is always a good practice when dealing with outdoor installations. Thank you again for your support and for taking the time to share your ideas with me. Your encouragement means the world, and I'm so glad I can contribute to your creative journey. Wishing you all the best as well

Thank you so much for the continued support. This is so awesome. I’m so happy that you like my creations.. since all my props are outside I never really deal with any of the off gases.
