Yes, and many don't know that he was writing music for Stax Records for a long time before he recorded his first album. For example, "Soul Man" by Sam & Dave, and many others...One of his most Unheralded Albums is a double albums called "Live At the Sahara Tahoe". If you can find it on CD, get it....Man, he plays the sax like he did at Wattstax, and it is simply beautiful.

I have 2 copies of this record. I remember the life size cut out of Isaac that came with it, but I lost both:( In fact I have All the Isaac Hayes LP's from the 70's. I loved Barry White as well, have all his as well. Was sad when they both died way before their times. The back up singers and Orchestra make these LP's more unique! All these songs remind me of the good ol days also when I was a boxer.
