I think I might be looking at Armenia for inspiration soon. Wonderfully expressive work.

Is there some information regarding these ancient ruins? Are they connected in any way to the Armenian Genocide?

There are over 2500 Armenian monasteries that were destroyed by Turks after the genocide. Only 34 have survived. However, our kingdoms and fortresses are all there and the Turkish government hides the fact from tourists. There are countless sites such as the kingdom of Urartu in lake van and the kingdom of Cilicia (catholic) It's beyond tragic! Since the Turks arrived from Aral seas Mongolia Central Asia, the Greeks, Armenians and Assyrians lost their homelands and they created Turkey.
