She's my new favorite author. It was Alice. Alice still has a special special place. But this lady Isabel, speaks to my heart.

My parents were a part of that migration from South Carolina to Harlem New York and a lot of the details about living in the South I had no idea you've done such a great service of informing our people and the world on how difficult it is to live in America being Black and it keeps getting worse..again thanks for the enormous contribution

Hearing the story of the vicious violent intentional aggression and often death inflicted upon black people by whites for such a prolonged period of time is both disturbing and never stops being painful! I am viewing the video in preparation to read The Warmth of Other Suns. I wonder if it will help me better understand this mindset. We know the trauma inflicted but what we know less about what makes those tick who inflict the trauma...I hope that this story gives some insight about how people could behavior in this manner and then live like its normal.

I think apartheid is a better term than a cast system let's keep things in proper perspective those tactics were brutal and very dehumanizing that left people physically and spiritually dead
