For a character who’s been through 5 seasons of TNG Troi is completely oblivious to sensing that she is serious about feeling she feels that Isabella is real. Or having the intuitive awareness to anticipate that fantastic scenarios happen in space on an ongoing basis and only approaches what’s on the surface rationally, as an empath. Guinan would resolve this plot in 2 minutes after waking into this scene.

They made her too stupid. So stupid, she even crashed the whole starship. For a ship's counsellor of many people, she is least aware of the issues.

@ As someone who has an aptitude for empathy and intuition it’s kind of offensive to feel like how this character was written is how people perceive their value in others (as a joke), we are devalued quite a bit as it is. In reality this ability means business and it is underestimated. Star Trek is more than a TV show to many people and this is dangerous.

You know... for stuffs going on in a starship, she could have security team listening in on the comms and barge in at the first sign of trouble. It's not their first time being attacked or jumped on.

Noley Thornton was just soooo cute. Even more so in the DS9 episode Shadowplay, where she interacted with Odo in such a cute way that I did become fluid like Odo after 16 hours...
