I was walking up Queen Street in Port Perry, Ontario, when I came across a blocked-off area where he was filming at a corner bar. Most of the episodes were shot in Canada, including the prison scene, which was filmed at Kingston Penitentiary.

You gotta remember that Reacher is also abnormally strong for some reason ( I havent read the books ) but he has incredible strength so getting hit by him is....almost certainly painful.

In the books he's described as freakishly strong, but in a burly brawler sense. He has huge reach and massive hands and was forever fighting as a child. He uses his strength and size to basically pummel people into submission. As he often says: "Get your retaliation in first."
